I love how Lionel and Luke send subtle messages to one another about who to vote for in returning to the idol competition. And watch their eye contact, their words when complimenting the contestant, it serves three fold- a message to Roman, message to their fellow judges, and a message to America.

I stopped watching AI for a while because there have been so many excellent singers who should have gone further in the competition. Some should have won. Because of the demographics of the voters, I think most votes are cast based on popularity. The judges should play a bigger part in selecting winners like the "other" talent show.
