I found this video clip on an old HDD and decided to upload it because it's hilariously cheesy and also historically accurate, this is how Cao Cao's soldiers caught Lu Bu, by tying his ass up like a sausage while he was sleeping

How did they untie him from the pole and retie him to bring to Cao Cao? I get that his weapon was taken away, but lu bu can prob still kill all these grunts with bare hands.

My guess is,other soldiers came up to the tower after 0:55 when the white flag is shown,to subdue Lü Bu...Even if he is very skillful and powerful,without his weapon,he is unable to fight off at least 6 armed soldiers...

The Grimm Slayer there is actually a movie about lu bu's daughter I forgot what it's called though she wasnt really raped in the movie but she was a slave to some warlord then she fell in love with one of the kids who was along side her as a servant but then the warlord got invaded by another one who turned out to be Cao Cao and she was liberated then she became Cao Meng De's concubine because she was pretty and she later finds out more about her father through Cao Cao who has kept Lu Bu's halberd along with Guan Yu's and some other general I forget who... but then the guy she was in love with is also serving in cao cao's palace and she falls in love with him again and she plans to kill cao cao so she can be with her love but then cao cao tells the dude you can have her take her and leave because he really loves her and wants her to be happy but she didnt know about that and she ends up dying trying to kill cao cao

Hahahaha nice DW music. This version of ROTK is the 1994 classic version that closely follows the novel. the cao cao here is also quite popular with a potrayal more akin to the ruthless villian compare to the 2010 version which is also great but with a more machevilian cunning look

Historically, Lu Bu wasn’t tied up by his own soldiers in his sleep. He surrendered to Cao Cao after Chen Gong was kidnapped by defectors.

Cao Cao's forces didn't catch him. Lü Bu's men tied him up when he was WASTED and delivered him to Cao Cao which shows that he must have been a very cruel person, but also shows that they were SCARED of him and his ability to fight.

Remember in Dynasty Warrior 5 battle of Xia Pi, where Lu Bu's armor was silver instead of the usual golden. It was for sure a nod to this show where they borrowed a lot of ideas from.

Liu Bei is so glorified in the romance dramatization. In reality he was quite easily the most arrogant and foolish of the three major leaders. The mass majority of his miltary campaigns consisted of terrible defeats.
