You know, I'm kind of surprised that the Romanian Army never really made the leap to a 556 AK, like Poland did. They are probably one of the only non-CIS (ex USSR) nations to actually lean that heavily on 545, after 1989.

Turns out Century Arms completely abandoned the WASR3. Don’t even have it listed on their website anymore. Instead, they have released their own version called the BFT556. I’ll go ahead and assume they figured out the kinks with the WASR3 and worked them out with their own version.

With psl 54 the mags are all over the place . I hit em with a file or grinder and also the mig welder to get em 💯 reliable. That’s the beauty of a ak!! But if you’re not that sort of fellow they may not be for u. Gotta adjust em or the mag catch Maby the locking lugs. I’d have this one going in probably 10-15 minutes I’d love to have it. Especially with steel mags

I had to use the M&M MLR mag catch to raise the back of the mag high enough for the bolt to catch the rim on the case. I was getting some pretty gnarly failure to feeds where the bolt would completely Miss the rim of the cartridge. The mag catch has definitely helped but I still had two malfunctions out of the 60 rounds I shot. I'm using an AC, unity, 556 mag and a gun mag Warehouse"Bulgarian" 556 mag. I do have a question about which mags these guns would have been imported with because I have a 20 round 556/ 545 mag that the pawn shop sold the gun with and there is no chance in hell the gun would have cycled as is. Also, could the hammer have something to do with the bolt stoppages because the hammer has that cut on the face of it? On my example, if I release the trigger at the wrong time it completely locks The bolt carrier form moving forward or backwards I have to completely disassemble the gun to reset the trigger and free the bolt carrier. The hammer gets stuck in between the bolt and the bolt carrier. It's a really weird malfunction, but could be fixed easily with a hammer polishing job.

The Romanian 10 round copy of the Weigers work good in my Zastava 556 aks FYI.

On my SAR-3 the hammer had to be reshaped as it did not contact the rear of the bolt stem flush. It was like the bolt stem was shorter than normal and the hammer went farther than it should contacting the bolt stem on an angle. It also won’t run on anything but weiger style mags.

What a shame. Any way to adjust the feed lips?

Lost me at "century". Will never forgive them for the C39v2 Korean billet receivers "american made AK" nonsense. I sold my first saiga to get one of their bs garbage tier marketing fiascos. No thank you. Never again.

Before I dremeled the hammer a bit, there was enough drag on the bolt carrier of my WASR 10 that the carrier would actually stick open; in fact, some others thought that was a feature. I never had a problem when firing, though.
