Thirty is an awesome birthday! Honestly, Elise, I'm 69, next year I'll be 70 and I'm looking forward to it. Why? Because I've learned that every decade after thirty gets better and better. Congratulations in advance! Enjoy this month saying goodbye to your twenties, they taught you a lot about yourself, and then as gracefully as you do everything else, let them go. 🙂
Now that I am older I don't look back so fondly at my 20's, they were hard. Every decade since has been better than my 20's. I am also 69, but my dear Mother only lived to be 41 and I survived cancer in 2020 and 2021. So I am pretty darn excited and grateful to be turning 70.
I love that we more mature women can gather here with Elise and her more youthful followers and still feel welcomed and at home. We age more so on the outside than inside, I feel. ✨💫😊
I LOVED turning 30 and you will too. It is a beautiful time. I remember feeling more reticent during 40 but when I actually got there, it was amazing. I can see how far I have come as a person, an artist, and I would never go back!

You said your family is not creative, yet I have noticed over the years, I feel your mother is very productive and tackles lots of tasks. She is always supportive and has helped with decorating and building/home projects with you at times. That is creativity in itself.
Why would you worry about getting older....ageing is the second greatest blessing;the first is:LIFE !!! So many children has died,and sadly....never had the pleasure of living to see their 4th ,or 5th birthday....you'll be 30...be grateful and count your blessings,that you're also healthy.....oh what a tremendous gift that is!!!Just remember;if you're not ageing:that means you're not living....you're dead!!I'm telling you from my personal stand point....I was afraid of ageing too.....until,for the past five years have been praying and hoping for the continuous gift of life;due to ill health!!Happy birthday when it comes!!
Enjoy your much deserved break Elise! Over achievers can burn out quickly if they don't get proper rest. Rejoice in turning 30... Turning 30 and being in your 30s will be the best time of your life in every way. You will still enjoy the benefit of looking and feeling young but have the gained maturity with decision making you didn't have in your 20s. It's simply the best combo.
This. An 18 year old sees 30 as over the hill. Truthfully, there's enough wisdom gained to make the most of youth and energy before they begin to slowly fade. Make the most of the prime of life. It isn't downhill after 40, just calmer.

I feel like each milestone is a huge deal and our anticipations, good and bad, are climbing the closer we get to that birthday. I am currently feeling the same as I am exiting my 30’s this summer. 40 feels like a big deal 🤷🏻♀️, I go back and forth between dreading it and embracing it. But Elise, you will enjoy your 30’s, it’s an exciting time actually and you gain so much wisdom and respect in this decade.

Its so nice that Denmark shuts down businesses for Easter. USA used to shut down for biz for major holidays so everyone could relax and celebrate. But no longer. Now stores, biz are open even on the biggest holidays. I remember turning 30, I did not want to either, I get it!! But, you will survive and be fine! Hope you had a wonderful Easter with your family.
You would get a great vegetable patch in the garden, the amount you could grow. Its getting a bit late to be growing from seeds , drop into a garden centre buy a few plugs of vegetables. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Keep showing what you get up to in the garden.
I don’t see you turning 30 as a rough day. I think maybe looking back over the years and appreciate how far you’ve come, what you’ve accomplished, what you’ve learned about yourself, your resiliency, etc., is key. You’ve done more than a lot of people at your age. That is amazing.❤️ I feel that I came into my own in my 30s. And more so in my 40s (I’m 57 now). Life will always bring challenges & through that we find ourselves. Truly celebrate YOU on your birthday🎉❤!!

I was 29 for 4 years, so I do understand turning 30 can take some getting use too 😀 My son will be 30 in April as well. In May, I will turn 60 years young. Elise maybe think about a bird bath for your garden bird friends. You have provided bird houses, food & lots of shelter. Now all they need is a bird bath or small water feature for them to drink from or bathe in. Bird song in the garden is a precious thing.🪺🌑

Elise.... I want to tell you a little bit about my 12 & 1/2 year old grand daughter. Her name is Everleigh, and she is also a ginger. She's has a beautiful soul, and her choice of style is BOHO. She is just now starting to wear a little mascara and lip gloss. She loves her BOHO necklaces and bracelets. She wears BOHO clothing that makes me so happy. No tight cropped tops or short skirts. She loves the maxi skirts and a loose sweater. I told her that it makes my heart happy to see her covered up. She just has this wonderful peaceful style about her. She is not a follower, but rather walks to her own beat. I hope she stays this way.
Your garden is going to be beautiful this spring and summer. You are motivating me to plant more flowers. Right now we are in Florida near the beach. We spend our winters here, but I’m anxious to go home to Indiana and watch spring arrive.

Loved turning 30! I think as women get older we grow into our confidence and care less and less about society's expectations (they're made up anyway). It's freeing and such a privilege. Every time something says youth=best, it's usually trying to sell you something. All seasons in life are beautiful, don't get stuck in one and miss out on the next chapter.
Please do not think about turning thirty...think about what you have accomplished with your life so far all by yourself🎉🎉🎉🎉and give yourself the credit for it and pour a glass of wine
Thank you for sharing the beauty of Spring there. It's delightful to see everything springing to life. You make your 30s...you decide. If I could do mine again I would do them differently. My son was born when I was 39, he is an only and I'm glad I didn't have more. Take care of your health, and you win. Most important be kind to yourself, avoid stress, take breaks, eat well etc. And you will do great. If your content where you are stay put...there is so much to moving. And the cost!
