Rome is one of those rare bands who's entire albums are masterpieces from start to finish they are more or less all completely breathtaking.

For me as a 60 year old man, this song is very ... special. Philisoping as a young man about the extinguished fire of life is one side. Seeing the fire go out for yourself is something very, very different. If tears were an option, I might cry.

music like this makes drinking beer and sitting at your computer a delightful evening.

Thank God for streaming online music as I would never have been able to discover this amazing song in a million years 20 years ago before the internet was popular. This song is amazing

That's a surprise, the band is one of my favorites since many years and I never thought I'd see a videoclip by them. The video is great, it really fits with the style of the band.

Die Band hat echt super Alben geleistet aber die neue Plätschert für mein Geschmack nur so vor sich hin.Man kann auch schöne ruhige Songs erschaffen die nicht so an einem vorbei laufen.Aber egal die Band etwickelt sich eh ständig weiter so das das nächste Album mir bestimmt wieder gefällt.

Das Video ist wirklich sehr schön geworden. Lange erwartet und nicht enttäuscht. Der neue musikalische Wandel gefällt mir nicht, und ich vermisse die alten Martial-Klänge so wie die Abwechslung im Song selbst. Ich bin allerdings gespannt auf das restliche Album.

I was just enjoying this song when I realized that I hadn't listened to ROME in nearly two years since that horrible slava Ukraine album he released. I will still enjoy his music, but in a diminished sense as I lost a lot of respect for him.

Da hast Du recht, schon ein bisserl schade dass es die Qualität von zuletzt Flowers from Exile bzw. die Genialität von MMM wohl so nicht mehr geben wird. Die letzten Sachen sind - v.a. im Album betrachtet - meist doch eher lahmes Gedudel und die Lieder eher austauschbar womit einfach Höhen und Tiefen sowie Ecken und Kanten fehlen. Mit der Zeit nehme ich sie meist gar nicht mehr wirklich wahr. Ambient im negativen Sinne. Wie gesagt: Schade.

I tried so hard to like this... I really did. It's like half-guitar-playing with a guy who sort of wants to sing but has a nice speaking voice so they just pushed a boxy effect on his last notes to make up for the anti-singing. Such a tragedy to know there's potential and this is all we get. :(
