Gay short about Tyler & Matt - why can't they keep their relationship secret? Who's messing it up? Tyler... kinda bi Matt... Sam(antha), the lesbian who busts them? This cut has all 5 episodes. Live, love, be!
i like the dialogue "what does he know abt what's natural to me"..straights may think homosexuality is unnatural but that is natural to the homosexuals..
Watching this again in 2020. Still and adorable uplifting film with happy positive ending. The actor who plays Tyler really carries the entire film. Great narrative. BRAVO to the writer/ director.
@@areolagarage1528 not really though. there's just 1 open gay and 1 hiding in closet gay and there's charlie that didn't mind being kiss by his crush's step-brother
If you base your love on good looks, you're in for a sad life. Looks can change real quick - one accident, one illness, the ageing process etc. Character, however, is permanent. Hopefully, you'll realise this sooner rather than later.
He says "matt hardly knows who I am and if he did he would kill me" but the thing is matt And him hang out an like each other so I am a lil confused on that part but other than that i loved it
Romeo Files: How lucky to have understanding buddies during teens. Life wouldn't be that messed up and frustrating. Most importantly self acceptance and unconditional supports from good buddies.
"Romeo files" might be one of the worst title for a good short feature or anything really...EVER! Anyway i give 8 out of 10 stars just simply because of it's overloaded sweetness and cuteness 😍😍
The point (I believe) the poster is making is, "wtf did that come from???" There was no mention of a catharsis for Matt all. They skipped a bunch of stuff that was kinda relevant. I thought maybe I was having a series of strokes while watching it.
The narrator's voice is calming it's like a Celtic dance that makes you wanna here more of the story. Like a nice news caster or a teacher to a bunch of middle schoolers
A gay short with a twist. Well done. Tyler shouldn't have lied to Matt about Sam(antha) but at least they made up, though he did the principled thing by walking away from Matt at the end and remains optimistic about finding another boyfriend - which I'm sure he will.
Roelant Frijns Do you know "Romeo and Juliet"? It's the William Shakespeare play that apparently inspired the name of this movie. It's considered the greatest love story of all time, and has the love between a boy and a girl who were children of rival families. Spoilers below: the end is very sad, both dead. Does the fact that the two do not "end being together" took some of the brilliance of this story? Think about it.
Uber Azure I hate Romeo and Juliet personally. They met, get married and die for each other in less than 5 days. It is not the greatest love story of all time. I know I'm gonna get hate for this but what can I say. In my opinion, Shakespeare has better plays than this.
Uber Azure Of course I know Romeo and Juliet. It doesn't matter if they end being together or not, as I don't think it effects the quality of a story, but it would just be refreshing to see a gay short with a 'happy ever after'-ending.
Tyler is a sweet guy. Sam is a cool friend. I think Matt is a Loser and just wanted anyone to give him attention and got it from Tyler. Hope new guy is perfect for Tyler. 💓
damnn such a nice story with a great great messegue .. we cant hold back, we can not stay with someone who's not good enough.. love's everywhere I loved this shortfilm
Matt: acts like a jackass, treats his secret boyfriend like dirt, moves in on secret boyfriend's fake girlfriend because secret boyfriend lies and says she's easy... Also Matt: sorry about that. This is a hot mess.
Honestly, this is me. I don't care who knows about me. The only thing keeping me from coming out is my girlfriend. She thinks once I come out everyone will know about her. I really like her, maybe even love. I don't want to break up. But should I? Is that the smart thing? Us being over so I can be free to be who I really am?
+Charity Diel if you love her, you should give her some time to get used to the fact that she may be a lesbian and she have to come out sometime. But, i think that you have to think about yourself too, whenever you feel tired of the being hide thing, you should break-up. because if you just stay with her in secret, you can't be yourself neither, so think about it. Sorry if my english is bad, i'm still learning.
thank you soooo much, that really reassured me. I hope one day i'll b free of this secret. and my girlfriend has come around a little, I think in some short time, we'll both be out! :)
Biblically Incorrect Reject So what did u do... I just noticed your comment is 2yrs old so u may not be with your gf anymore... myself I haven't come out but not because I'm not ready but because idk if my mom is ready to hear it... I'm sure she has her doubts about me being straight... but she has asked me and i told her i don't want a gf rn which wasn't a lie... but I'm sure I'll tell her next year when I'm on my own...
I was so hoping this was real. Maybe based on real story. I hope he did find a great boyfriend that is open to having publicly known boyfriend. Best wishes frm another small town guy that used to raise sheep!
They are in a small town, in farm country. One will have more courage than the other. That is life. A correlation between this and "Romeo and Juliet", makes no sense, in the least.
'...the best thing is being able to talk about everything...' This is crucial to one's mental well being. Walking around hiding who and what you are is defeating to one's soul. I recently found someone that I was able to open up to here in my new home smack in the middle of the bible belt within the Ozarks. 🎉
it seems like EVERY gay story is the same- you fall for someone- he either doesn't return it or he's so closeted he can't- 90% of films and books are like this- it's frustrating. And they always end with the up swing- a last minute addition that there MAY be someone else.....you invest in 2 people and they NEVER get together. Straight stories are never like this- their readers/viewers would NEVER put up with it- they always get the happy ending- we get taught a lesson....but after a while, that lesson becomes- it's hopeless, accept it, move on.
Happiness is being able to love yourself intensely, free of dependency and controlling behavior. Why not respect Matt condition for a while. He must have not ready for public drama, but Matt love to be with Tyler alone genuinely. Matt is truthful of his current situation, and is not yet ready yet. So why the immature, dependent, and controlling Tyler push out Matt for public drama - because that is the current emotional debt that Tyler is into. Tyler is a diva type gay, while Matt is a James Dean type. Not really compatible with each other. Tyler is even a dishonest to Matt, Sam, and pastor Harvey. Actually this is the trouble with some gays who are driven by their controlling attitude; always seeking for validation and acceptance from public insults. Gays are still living with emotional discrimination in first world, not really in the third world if you research. Gay-gay relationship should dwell on respect, acceptance, genuine love, patience, living real, honesty, and love for the person.
Is a bit cheesy....but the message is pretty cool and is the sort of short that should be shown in remote/conservative situations......could be a conversation opener in the right situation....Kudos!
Their wives knew they were cheats and looked the other way because they were weren't cheating on them with other women. Both became alcoholics and the pastor was a suspected pedophile.
Please tell me there's more to the story. One where he meets the new guy. Or a double awkward but sweet date with same her gf and him and the new guy. Aww. The story was great. Loved it! :)
