Jet Li is like a Metahuman in this one, beating down multiple People who are 2 times his size and easily breaking People’s bones like paper. Maybe Kai was jealous he could never get on Li’s level of defying Gravity and shit. 😂
Say what you want about their prison but that riot controll response time is literally unbelievable. 2 seconds after he throws the first punch you have 10 guys fully geared storming out from 3 different locations? wtf xD They just sit in there with the gear on all day incase something happens I guess? lmao
I guess stuff like that goes down frequently....plus, I believe in hong kong its law that you learn martial arts in school, so if you had one guy able to take out 3 guards at once it makes sense to be ready at all times
In this movie when I was a child seeing this scene was scary, the dark room, the men in all black, Jet Li's eyes open awide close up headbutts first guard brutally with blood and the X-ray bone break which whenever happened was scary. I think this is one of Jet lis coolest movies also I love how its a two gang asian and black playing off the Romeo and Juliet script and its nostaligic takes me back to the 90s.
This was one of my favorite movies since I was 8 years old, brings me back memories looking at it when I first watched it on VHS tape. Jet Li is one of my favorite martial artist actor ever, But I'm still wondering what was he in jail for before he escaped? I loved everything about the movie, including the soundtracks.

Guessing from the conversation held between Jet Li and his father at the end of the movie before the father kills himself, Jet Li said to his father “I will let fate decide what to do with you. If polices don’t get you, other chinese families will. Do what you will father. But this time, no one will go to prison for you..” so it seemed Jet Li went to the prison for his father’s crime.

Makes you wonder. How that guy knew that his brother died in America? He wasn’t even scene earlier in the movie. And it also makes you wonder how he ended up in prison.
Maybe him and Jet (and maybe more men) are in their for same charges for specifically doing a job (for Jet's Mob boss dad) which then gone wrong because when Li went to america he confronted his dad about leaving him in prison to rot and his dad said it was nothing personal just "business". So in a way that guy who informed Li still had connections to other members of the organization jet's mob boss dad ran and was filling li in about everything that goes down outside of the prison.
