That’s really amazing how the auto adjustment works. It seems a little complex for an average operator. I can see our probe tool creeping out and needing runout adjustment after a few tool changes. However I believe with the right machine tool, right job and operator this technology would save a lot of set up and operating time.
Working on a machine with TSC and air purge on the spindle it took more than a year to make the probe creep more than 5um....that was until they hired "operators", at which point anytime I got called more than 2 times within 1 hour I would verify the calibration and start from there...

@@RAMB0DJOHN In over 15 years I’ve never waited more than an hour for an email response from Kennametal. Of all the big toolmakers they’re the best to deal with. If you don’t have an account and you’re using a generic domain email address your messages are probably going to their junk mail. Why don’t you just call them? They’re very nice.
