Absolute beautiful montage.. to capture so many intense moments takes more than talent. Am forever grateful that Romy had an amazing career in France (which would never had happened in her home country), working with the best directors and actors of that time, was appreciated not just for her beauty but her talent, versatility and intensity she brought to the screen.
From the 1st shot, “ how beautiful.” Some have a beauty in that their facial symmetry and features are aesthetically very pleasing. Elizabeth’s violet eyes. And some have a beauty that glows from within. Romy had both. But it’s that glowing beauty that most draws me to her.
I had an adolescent crush on Romy Schneider after I saw her in John Huston's "The Cardinal." There's a glamorous waltz scene in which she's dancing with leading man Tom Tryon. I thought how nice it would've been to be Tom Tryon at that moment.
So many thanks...!!!! Not only the most beautiful woman, actress in the world, but also the most distinctive, inimitable beauty. This is the best tribute I watched about her, because of the inusual images and the perfect music. Thanks again. Romy, you are with us forever. FOREVER.
Quite possibly the most beautiful woman of all time, even ahead of Grace Kelly. While Grace was absolutely perfect but a little cold, Romy burns up the screen and sets the pulse racing.
Thank you for this tribute 🙏 I saw Romy for the first time in the Sissi trilogy when I was a teenager and have been fascinated ever since. How curious is that she played Empress Elisabeth of Austria, who in real life had been shattered with the loss of a son and had been so unhappy in her love life. I believe that the real Sissi’s misery was not shown in the trilogy because they were released post war and the producers wanted the people to see a fairytale, not tragedy. In 1972 she reprised her role as Sissi in the film “Ludwig” de Luchino Visconti. But this Sissi was very mature and very cynical, different from her earlier one, I think this difference led her to accept to play the part again. I’ve watched most of Romy’s movies, what a great performer she was. I’ve just watched her as Queen Victoria yesterday, a movie from 1954, all in German and despite not being able to understand a lot I waited till he end because seeing her and hearing her sweet voice was such a treat. There is a picture of her and Sophia Loren together, Sophia, one of the most beautiful women in the history of cinema, she was looking at Romy in pure awe, that’s how marvellous Romy was 💕 I wish Sophia, Romy and Audrey Hepburn had starred in a movie together 💕Our lovely Romy is gone but she continues to marvel generation after generation with her beauty and talent. 💕 Romy eternelle 💕
This beautifully edited, better than most awards show tributes we've seen. You included so many all-encompassing highlights of her career and life. I wish she were better known here in the States.
Beautiful video. My parents are big fans of Romy and we just watched Fantasma d'amore the other day, which features another one of her great, haunting performances . Thanks for doing this. Cheers from Iran.
@@nkanzaniclette1077 she died of depression for her dead son, she mourned him soooo much, she was in constant pain. The movie called 'la passant du sans souci "there is a scene when a boy who'd be abt her son' s age and her character is supposed to be over whelmed and happy by that violin player and the tune, WATCH IT CAREFULLY SHE REALLY CRIES, and this has been said many times before, even the people involved in the movie understood that REAL feeling and REAL tears she had.. Plus there are many interviews post her son's death where she appeared gloomy and exhausted and in grief, she even talked abt it. She had lesser will to live since her son's very eerie and DEVASTATINGLY premature death. Romy is my life, this woman touched me in so many ways. She is one of my strongest inspirations as an artist 💙💌
@@priyac7054 I already watch her last film, La Passante du Sans-Souci" and I know this scene. I think she died due to of her heart being weakened by an operation in May 1981 but probably because of the sadness due to the loss of her son. I don't think at all she commit suicide because she had a daughter named Sarah and she had both personal and movie projects. During the morning which followed her death, she had to do a photoshooting with her partner and Sarah.
