Ron & Fez: Fez's Thanksgiving Breakdown (11/22/13) 

I must confess for all of Fez's insanity, the show was never the same after he retired. I never missed a day not wanting to miss a Fez breakdown or on-air fight, now I might tune in a couple times a month. Ron's a great radio guy, but he was smart enough to realize he needed Fez's wackiness to play off of his dry wit in this "odd couple" type relationship to make the show work and nobody has ever been able to replace that.

this is literally the first ron and fez show ive ever listened to on my satellite radio and i was cracking up the entire time at him crying and the awkward silence in between sobs

As someone who is partially gay (Bi technically, but definitely accepting of the fact that I prefer men), my feelings on the word fag and faggot are that yeah, it's a rough word, and I see why it affects Fezzy like it does. But it was something Sam Jackson said out of anger at the moment, not "Oh you fag, you fucking homo, I hope you die". Fez being this paranoid loon who wants all derogatory words banned annoys the hell out of me. He also seems to be some moral crusader when it comes to issues that affect him. He's against the word faggot because he's gay, and he's against the word crazy because he's got mental issues and is doped up on pills to keep him from doing himself in. I don't personally like Troy Quan, and I'll even admit his whole throwing of the word fag bothered me a bit, but Fez has done far too much damage with this whole feeling that anyone who uses the word must want to hurt him because that isn't true. Yeah, he didn't ask for Troy to be fired, but he still is a catalyst to what almost got him fired, and the gag order he's now under. Do I think the word is derogatory? Hell yes I do. Do I think it should be banned, and anyone who uses the word should have their livelihoods destroyed even if it was said accidentally? No, because this censorship bullshit disgusts me and spits in the face of the right to freedom of speech. It's not like everyone who uses the word Fag wants to beat up a gay person, and leave them to die like Matthew Shepard. There are those people, but that's a far rarer case. We're close to living in a bubble society where any form of social interaction will be off limits becuse anything we say or do will land us in trouble for being offensive.

Ronnie absolutely nails it at 17:00. I don’t know how to time stamp but what he says is so applicable to today’s society.

If this was a bit, it was the greatest long term radio bit ever pulled off. If not, Fez didn’t realize how much he was appreciated. What a pity.

1:38:40 - Only on the R&F show could a 49yo doctor - who wasn't known as a funny caller, or even an interesting or controversial guy -- just some superfan could get invited to studio... Cuz everytime he showed up - he showered the hosts & staff with really extravagant gifts. He dropped over $1000 on this trip🤣🤣

One of the last great radio shows

I'm gonna love the November/December shows. That's usually when Fez or Ron fucking snaps. Ron will realize that yet another year has gone by with nothing changing. That 2010 broadcast with him lying in a corner of the studio was radio gold. The fact that he had a cold just made it funnier.

This is fucking the best piece of drama/comedy/psychodrama I think I've ever heard. This is the modern media: interpersonal relationships, bromance, social comment and sexual politics - everything that's great and fucking awful about modern life is here. This should be a play or a fucking movie. Ronnie B is the greatest human being ever to suck a stogie.

These callers are so fucking clueless. You can't make a dent into Fez's crazy mind with compliments. He is either going to meet Ron and co. halfway and own his shit or continue to be the black hole of self pity.

RIP Fezzie. Still to this day I don't know which of these Fez clips were "real" or radio bits, either Fezzie was the best actor in the history of radio or a mental trainwreck that still managed to make great radio. Either way, he will be missed.

its quite simple, the constitution says we have an inalienable right to freedom of speech.we do not have the inalienable right to not be offended. if a stranger or friend for that matter,say things that offend you, its your responsibility to know how to deal with it. a word doesnt measure who you are.

Despite what Ron said about wanting to get away from this 'reality TV type stuff' and back to comedy, I nevertheless find this fascinating.

Black Earl, Dave, Mark Zito, and Shelby all was why Fez was the way he was. It was always just Fez. He should have left years before and Ron just loved him like a brother.
