@@Adam01Time,l remember there was a time when you could actually see the number of thumbs down . Do you know who had You Tube disable the thumbs down ? I am very curious to see the amount of dislikes on the MSM fake news channels .
Technically it was accurate but only if you caught that he hated "Opie" as his character's name because of the teasing he endured at school from his classmates. If you have ever read much about the show, you already knew that, except for the tension between Andy and Aunt Bee because of his unprofessional behavior (jokes, etc.), the relations among the crew were all good. Francis Bavier was professionally trained and took her career very seriously while Andy Griffith seized every opportunity to joke around. It's totally understandable why those two personalities would clash - they do all the time - however, it never came across on film giving us a great show.
90% of RU-vid is these clickbait-titled posts that spend most of the video talking about stuff that has nothing to do with that clickbait titles. Obviously, the advertising dollars must be rolling in because, like I said, most videos on RU-vid are like this. It's ruined what was, imo, a great website.
The reason that The Ultimate Uncovered lies is that he is trying to get people to click on his videos so he can make money. Just another person on RU-vid who can't come up with a more creative way to make some dough on the internet.
Very interesting Video but RU-vid should remove it for it's misleading title. You should not benefit from out right lying just to get ratings. I won't be watching any more of "The Ultimate Uncovered" videos because of this. Everyone should report this video for this misleading technique.
@@macforme Sadly, if there was any creative thinking here (and there was not) they could have titled it something like RON HOWARD AND THE PICKLE STORY. But, the click-bait title is only the beginning of the trouble. These AI videos are completely useless.
The Andy Griffith Show was my most favorite and most loved program I ever saw as a child/adult, and still today at 71 years old.. I never missed an episode! I love rewatching the old episodes. I never get tired of it! I loved the genuine performances of Andy Griffith! He was down home, just like myself and family. I grew up in the deep woods in Southern Illinois. We believed in the Bible and treated each other with love and consideration, and respect as we were taught, the way Andy Griffith portrayed himself. He felt like family to me as a kid growing up. Seven in my family. We all loved Andy Griffith! He was a delightful change from all other television family show, Lighthearted, clean language, intelligent family oriented show! THANK YOU Mr. ANDY GRIFFITH FOR THE JOY YOU BROUGHT ME THROUGH ALL THESE YEARS!
If all you were looking for was hate, then you made the right choice. I, actually, was glad to see that the title was deceptive. Lots of great information.
It was a great video to take a nap with. Which I did. I woke up just enough to learn Ron Howard doesn't like pickles. I despise pickles and wish there was a national law that would make it a crime punishable with prison time for serving pickles on the assumption that "everybody likes pickles". All of us that don't like or totally despise pickles have suffered greatly at the hands of people that assume way too much and far too long. Edited to add the last four words.
I grew up in Santa Barbara, California and I really don’t know how my life would be now without this very special show in my life. It was truly just part of who I am and was. My Favorite tune in my life and I’m a singer songwriter and a Nashville resident. Just the sound of that whistle takes me back to my childhood and always will. Thank you for sharing this. Blessings,Carlos ✝️🙏❤️😊🇺🇸
Andy Griffith and Ronny Howard were VERY CLOSE… Right through until Andy’s death.💕♥️👏🏻 The title of this was a hook‼️ Very underhanded and mean-spirited.
Title of this video has no credibility to the content...The picture of - Jerry ("Leave It To Beaver") Mathers, is used multiple times (in error) for the actor who portrayed "Mr. Schwamp"...Do your homework before slapping together a video with a misleading title.
Not only was the title misleading, but they often showed Opie's real life Brother, Clint Howard who played Leon (always with a PB&J sandwich, and offering it to others), as if they were trying to say "this is Opie". In one part they actually showed Opie and Leon together eating hotdogs.
I remember meeting his wife when they were first married. They came to the gym I worked at. She could not have been nicer. Their meeting was perfect. Everything you would want for two such nice people.
The channel creator is a true sociopath , who gets rich from lying and making up stories just for attention , RU-vid is Psychopath for commissioning this user to create false videos , then paying a higher amount due to repeating video loop within one video .
Ron Howard seems like such a nice man that's it difficult to imagine that he hated or even disliked anyone. Of course, he was just a kid when the show was made.
@@GlennaVan I'm sorry, and you're right. I did miss that section the first time I watched the video. The headline makes a lot more sense now that you've pointed out my error. I just couldn't believe Ron Howard could ever actually hate anyone. Thank you for pointing out that I was right about what a great guy he is.
I had the pleasure of spending some time with Ron and his family several decades ago at an Alley family reunion (his wife and I are 2nd Cousins). I can truefully say that Ron is just as nice and friendly in person as he appears when you see him interviewed in videos.
@@GordonAlley Thanks so much for confirming what I was sure was true. Of all the people in Hollywood, he has the most reason to be a snob because of all he has accomplished as an actor and director. But he isn't at all. He and Keanu Reeves are the two stars I would like to spend time with. I admire them both as people.
Aunt Bea was a beautiful older woman. That picture showed how beautiful she was when younger. I can watch reruns of the show, even knowing how they end.
Did anyone else notice? At the 25:13 mark there are 2 pictures, side-by-side. The one on the left is not Ronny Howard. Its Bill Mummy from "Lost in Space" TV show.
Since it's fairly well established that Ron Howard is probably the nicest, most easy-to-get-along-with guy in the industry, I just HAD to know the identity of the person he "truly hated." And of course the answer is: CLICKBAIT HEADLINE!
This idiot narrator threw in Jerry Mather's picture just for that assumption. Jerry would have been in his mid to late teens when those episodes were filmed. He would not look like a man in his fifties.
TO ALL VIEWERS: We MUST start recognizing these clickbait videos before we move forward and watch them. Pages with titles like "The Ultimate Uncovered" are a big hint. There are a lot of these pages popping up. I know it's becoming more and more difficult to recognize that the narrator is AI (artificial intelligence) generated ("bot"), but if you listen carefully, you can tell that human qualities are missing - everything is so even sounding, relatively flat, and the rhythm is robotic. No humor, no irony, no variety of expression. Then there is the writing - it sounds directly lifted from perhaps a book about the series. The writing for these videos tend to jump around, without great logic, very much like someone who cuts and pastes paragraphs but doesn't carefully smooth segues to help the reader (or viewer) organize the information. This sounds just like a giant dump of info from books, magazines, the internet (and probably some of it is just fiction to fill up the video). Next, listen for repeated words -- the narrator here, says "Interestingly" NINE times (that’s eight times too many) - I searched the transcript. This is ONE of many reasons that AI is not ready for prime time, it doesn't edit itself well. Someone here pointed out that the narrator states that Andy often used the catch phrase "That's the time" - three words that make zero sense unless other words follow it. The person commenting here suggested they must mean "That's the ticket" - however, I can't find any evidence that was used as a catch phrase on the AG Show. However, it IS the catch phrase of Jon Lovitz's liar character on Saturday Night Live. That is how absurd these videos can get. The narration states the phrase, “carries a range of meanings including expressions of approval, affirmation, or agreement, akin to saying “good,” “okay” or “that's the right thing to do.” Approval, affirmation, and agreement are basically the same thing, and “good,” “okay,” and “that’s the right thing to do” are not examples of a range of meanings. Let's take a look at this particular segment of narration: NARRATOR: In addition to its entertainment value, The Andy Griffith Show offers viewers a fascinating glimpse into Southern culture and language. One notable aspect of this is the phrase “that's the time.” Frequently used by Andy Taylor throughout the series, this phrase originates from old southern vernacular and carries a range of meanings including expressions of approval, affirmation, or agreement akin to saying “good,” “ okay,” or “that's the right thing to do.” As you watch the show you'll likely discern the intended meaning of “that's the time” based on the context of Andy's usage. It serves as a subtle nod to Griffith's own Southern upbringing, adding authenticity and depth to his portrayal of the character. There we have inflated, flowery wording intended to make the analysis sound sophisticated. Words and phrases like “fascinating glimpse,” “discern,” “intended meaning,” “context of Andy’s usage,” “serves as a subtle nod,” “authenticity and depth.” This is The Andy Griffith Show, not Long Day’s Journey Into Night. As many here have pointed out, there are also repeated segments (like the rock-throwing story). It’s like a child who is desperate to reach that 150 word requirement for a book report. Additionally, actors’ names are OFTEN mispronounced in these videos. I’m not certain that’s the case here, but it’s a common AI problem. Also noted by others commenting here, look for incorrect photos. I recently watched a video about Desi Arnaz, Jr. - a ton of the narration was flat out incorrect, and about five times, they used images of Donny Osmond instead of Desi Jr. There are many incorrect photos in this video. These things happen (wrong information, mispronunciation, incorrect photos, etc.) because AI is literally doing all the work - the person/people posting this can't be bothered to edit, double-check or correct mistakes (which they are probably incapable of, because I doubt very much they have any interest in the subject matter). Laziness and greed fuel this engine. Documentaries (even "mini" ones) are challenging to make - the excellent ones require careful, painstaking research, looking through hundreds of photos, verifying information and then of course a careful, meticulous editing process. These videos are popping up left and right and clearly there is very little effort or artistry behind them. Gather the text, have the AI narrator speak the words, gather a big bucket of photos, and then - and this is the MOST important part - title the video something irresistible, and always misleading. When I think of the cumulative waste of time caused by these videos, click baiting viewers who are sincerely interested in a topic, it makes me furious. The more we all reject these vids, there will be less created. It would be great if RU-vid removed vids like this - but that won’t likely happen because they don't technically break any rules. I think they will take down "misleading" videos if the information is about politics, health, science, perhaps history - but not vintage sitcoms. If they took down videos for misinformation, probably 30% of RU-vid would be gone - so it's our job to walk away as soon as we sense the empty, useless quality of these vids. It might sound silly to make a big deal of this, but I believe these videos are so off-putting they make the RU-vid experience less reliable, and less enjoyable, not to mention young people who, without any personal memory of a show like this, will watch and probably believe all of the content. They will think, "Wow, Opie, Beaver and Eddie Munster were all played by the same kid." WHO ARE THE 2,500 PEOPLE WHO HAVE "LIKED" THIS VIDEO THUS FAR???
I could see it coming. I'm glad I cut the video off early to scroll down and discover that Ron Howard didn't hate anyone on the show. I just saved about 24 minutes of my life by recognizing where this was video was (not) going..
Went in Jr High to watch an long forgotten TV show being filmed. Ron was doing Happy Days. My teacher saw him got Ron's attention and Ron came on the bus and talked with us and signed autographs for over an hour. Great guy
Wished I read the comments before watching.... I always give a thumb down for clickbaits... and I challenge you to do the same. Who did Ron Howard hate?
Well actually I know a guy who once did some interior work on Andy Griffith's house and he told me that Andy was actually an absolute A-Hole so I firmly believe that this is absolutely true ! I'm almost 59 and my friend, though sadly he recently died of a heart attack but he was in his early 80's and even I was blown away from all of the mean things that he told me about Andy ! I loved The Andy Griffith Show when I was very little and like Bill Cosby, I thought the world of him but my friend never lied to me about anything ! Don't think that how a person is on a TV show and/or movies is exactly like the way they are in real life because you too may find yourself severely disappointed.
Ron Howard must've lied. I'm getting older (72) but I seem to remember Ron Howard praising the show. I might be wrong because I can't remember the exact words. Ron did a reunion show. Why would he return. He didn't need the money.
I grew up with this show; I was a year younger than Ron. My wife (and daughter) had never seen the show, but happily I have the entire series on DVD and we have thoroughly enjoyed it!
I am truly amazed at how many people totally missed who Ron Howard hated! It is there, folks, if you listen. It is the name "Opie" he hated because of all the teasing he received at school because of the name. Those familiar with the show - and many interviews - already know the only tension on the set was between Francis Bavier and Andy Griffith because of her professionalism and his constant practical jokes. It is testament to them both that none of that was obvious in the films. Sooooo, for those of you saying the title is "click bait" which often titles are, this one is not if you paid attention to the narrative of the video!
You're really assuming that *all* the people complaining about the clickbait just missed that part of the video? In no way is the title describing how Howard hated his character's name. If that were true, why doesn't it simply say, "Howard Hated the Name Opie" or at the *very* least "Howard Hated Opie." - "Howard Hated Him" with a picture of him and Andy Griffith 100% intimates that Howard hated Andy Griffith, which is a lie. That's blatant, easily spotted clickbait which insults the intelligence of the viewer, thus the comments.
@@crashburn3292 I did not deny it was clickbait and nothing else. In fact, many of these are just that! I'm sure you also seen video titles "The Tragic End of ...." insinuating the person has died when they have not! As fo reassuming all people missed it, I did not. Many people have commented on it because they didn't catch it in the video. Just for the record, I rarely "assume" anything - none of us should.
how could you forget the one and only ............drum roll please........................... Ernest T Bass! the funniest shows ever where with Ernest T and Barney.
@@insideoutsideupsidedown2218 5 episodes. But like most fans of the show, his character was so ingrained in the show that you thought he MUST have been a semi-regular. Back in the late 90's, I interviewed Howard Morris for a writer's magazine. We met one Saturday at KNBC Studios (across from the Tonight Show) and for an hour and a half he talked, and I laughed.
Absolute clickbait. I can't imagine Ron Howard actually "hating" anyone. From everything we know about him through his colleagues, Ron Howard is a kind person.
The title of this video is vague, thus inducing curious people like me to check it out and find out who hated whom. However, in the early introduction the narrator says we're going to hear 30 facts about the show. I'm betting you that the question I want answered will be number 30 in that list. In other words this is clickbait. They want you to watch to find out the answer to the question but they wait until the end to tell you the answer. I'm no longer wasting my time waiting for a setup like that so I won't be watching this video. The creator of the video should learn that we're getting wise to these tricks and the number of Tricks is limited so we get exposed to them multiple times all the time. Give it up.
You missed that the whistler of the theme song actually and literally was able to whistle the duet with himself. As a kid I was able to go to a school program where he performed, and met him afterwards.
Knotts had not yet signed a deal with Universal when Griffith decided to continue on the show. Knotts, though, felt he had been in talks with Universal for so long, and had made promises that he felt committed to that course.
Hi, I enjoyed the video very much. One thing that you didn't mention about Ron's career is that He played the little boy taking piano lessons and singing Gary Indiana In the movie version of The Music Man, before he got the role of Opey He did a pretty good job of singing for such a young boy. I have a copy of the vinyl album called songs themes and stories of the Andy Griffith show, which contains the vocal version of the theme called the fishin' hole. I have had it since it first came out and is is still in nice condition I also loved the performances of the darling family/ the Dillards, on the show. Griffin also did a great job as Matlock, Thanks for the great overview of the Andy Griffith show. Darryl
Take some random fact and write 50 words about it. Do it again with another random fact. Take first random fact story, and re-word it. Take second random fact story and reword that. Do it over and over until the pile looks big enough to you, overlay short segments of related footage, then you put down your shovel and go home.
Jerry Mathers was not the strange man who wore the toupe. His photo should be edited out. He was just a boy at the time too. The title implies Ron Howard hated someone as bait to watch but is never followed through. Some information was duplicated. Other than that it was a nice walk through old times.
Listen to Ron and Clint Howard’s book. Listen not read, the two men reminiscing and recounting in their own voices is GOLD. Yeah…. Ron Howard hates/ hated no one.
The headline is cheap click bait, but I think what they mean is that he hated the character of "Opie" as it caused him to be bullied and denigrated by his peers in school...
If you pay attention at the end of the video, it wasn't anyone on the show he hated, it was his character name, "Opie." It caused him so much grief as a youngster, being picked on and harassed by his peers because of the name.
