It used to make me so stinking mad that not one single guitar magazine gave Ronni Le Tekro any love. He is such an influence on so many people, but he is relatively unknown. He’s in my top three. Bad. Ass.
well, maybe he is happy in his ecosystem...most interviews are from Norway...almost all... he have talent...maybe he did not care so much about the superficial US market and life style ...
One of the best without a doubt. The guy has his own studio, and a black belt in karate! I don’t understand, where these guys find the time, and have the drive to be great in so many things... hats off...TNT should have been bigger, but in the 80’s it was almost impossible to be huge, unless you were from U.S.A (No pun intended), or England. Peace from Finland!
Say what you will but every riff from TNT debut lp are a fucking monster, each one you wish you came up w when you hear them. And he's a classy shredder. For me sick talent.
Definitely one of the best studio guitarists,.His solo writing is amazing,.lacks a little bit to be desired when it comes to improvisation though,.But you can't have it all unless you're Eddie Van Halen
I'm just starting to learn Norwegian. This does me no good. Damn, one of my favorite bands from back then. Just stumbled on their videos on youtube. "Tonight I'm falling for you" yeah baby!!!
I cant believe he was ever in TNT. Everything after Seven Seas sucked.- He has that Uli Roth magical type ora about him. AS WE ALL KNOW - ULI ROTH was waaay before Yngwie and so under appreciated just like Ronnie.
yes.. anyone can do it except no one is.. so that makes him unique. Besides it's not a competition.... I'm SO bored of these childish comments ZZZZZZZZ
@badmutha07 Liv Grete (ex Biathlon star) is more into Frenchmen.....but im sure she found him funny. Just when he says his mom let his hair grow, and that the hair is the souls antenna.....thats where Brynjar (bold one) shoots in "Thanks...". And the host after the laughter has quiet down abit says: "Can you get our signals,Melling?" Real funny stuff :)
@@tyjoisacoward4010 I know, I'm not questioning that, I'm saying that IN THIS VIDEO it is misspelled, it's written "Tekerø", not "Tekrø". But that's fine, we all know it's "Tekrō".
Well, as he says, he doesn't want to be the fastest. They are both fast, but imo Le Tekrø creates better music (that's my oppinion ofc). Better riffs, and better solos. But that's me ;)
I won't dispute that Ronni is one of the best in the world, but it's kind of strange that whoever made this video is simultaneously a huge fan (he must be right?) and at the same time incapable of writing the name of his idol right. His name is Le Tekrø. Rolf Ågrim “Ronni Le” Tekrø.
@Patriceorange What you're saying is total bullshit. You have obviously never been to Norway. I'm Norwegian and I can tell you right away that the viking stereotype of blonde hair/blues eyes is utter crap and totally false. Sorry to burst your bubble, but there are PLENTY of ethnic Norwegian people with darker features such as brown eyes and dark hair. The natural hair color of Norwegians ranges all across the spectrum from light blonde to black. The blonde hair/ blues eyes thing is a MYTH.
What? Jeg skal spekulere og fantasere om hva han kanskje kan gjøre basert på denne "filmen"? Hadde isteden vært greit å vise et klipp av det han faktisk kan da....
Verdens beste gitarist no 1 er django reinhardt! No 2 Ritchie Blackmore. Å spille fort gjør deg ikke til en god gitarist. Ronni Le Tekerø er etter min mening en medium gitarist. Mekanisk uorganisk gitarplayer. Gi Ronny en kasse gitar så får du høre alle feil når han spiller.
Even though I've seen Reb Beach, Vinnie Moore, John Norum, Nuno Bettencourt and many other virtuosos live, but standing two meters from Ronni's double Marshall stacks packed the most insane punch I've ever heard coming out of a guitar. Sure, he's not a technical scale and arpeggio virtuoso like Petrucci, but his style of guitar playing resonates with me the most.
