Watching Ronnie in the late 90’s was my motivation to build a great physique. He was a cop and I was a firefighter, so I was super impressed. He is still the GOAT of bodybuilding. I was always amazed at his positive attitude despite all the injuries and pain. I’m so glad he is doing better and I wish him many years of training and living pain free.

@JunkyCarrot

I know this comment is old now but I’m gonna comment on it anyway ☺️ In regards to using steroids you have to remember that Ronnie as well as the other bodybuilders on those levels are taking a huuuge amount. You can take small doses to just get an extra boost to your workout. Even small doses will do wonders for us “regular” people. Small doses can be 250 mg a week. No more is needed in my opinion. The professional bodybuilder like Ronnie probably did about 8000 mg a week - which is absolutely insane dosages. And most importantly remember to take brakes so your body will produce its own testosterone again. You can do 2 months with the boost and then also do a cooldown of 2 months without using. And with these small dosages of 250 mg a week there are barely any side effects whatsoever. I’m 33 years old and been using on-off for about 10 years. 👍

I was into bodybuilding for several years, just as a hobby and the love i have for weight lifting. One day, I realized for me it was just not worth the pain. I was sore nearly everyday of my life, the day after leg day I could hardly walk. Then to think it was just a hobby for me, i wasn't even a professional bodybuilder. So i backed off a little and decided i would enjoy life more and do other things and that was a great decision.

Great video! Great to see Ronnie getting over his pain. I’ve always followed bodybuilding and lifted almost all of my life. I’ve always wondered where the line is, how much is too much? Where is the line between a healthy lifting and unhealthy lifting. You want to stay in as great of shape as you can, for as long as you can, keeping in mind that life is a marathon and not a sprint as they say. But if you are a Roni, and your motivation was being the greatest bodybuilder that ever lived, that all goes out the window. And he sure made his mark. I hope modern medicine can bring him back to an acceptable quality of life after all the damage he did himself.

As much as I would love to gain muscle I just couldn't do the roids or lift more than my body can handle and break it down. I'm glad that he's doing much better.

You've already proven to yourself and us that you're a champion, all that is left is for you to take care of yourself and take it easy. I can almost guarantee your spot will never be taken.

I reckon he is actually in tons of pain but his positivity does not allow him to complain about it. Also, research indicates that athletes who are used to training very hard have an extraordinary pain tolerance.
