damn I'm a 17 year old boy from the netherlands, This is the voice I grew up with. And now almost 7 years later I'm listening to the dubliners again. Regretting I never saw this legend alive. :(

God bless you Ronnie, may you, Bobby, Ciaran, and Luke rest in eternal peace. Gone from this Earth, but not from our memories.

Sadly, I only recently learned of the Dubliners after hearing their music for decades, and particularly Ronnie Drew. Thank you for the music you have left to us, the part Irish living without your presence.

Saw him perform in Schull in the mid nineties at the Courtyard. Amazing charactor and one of the most unique voices I've had the pleasure to hear!

Goodbye to a grand feller. We all die into silence. But few leave such wonderful sound behind.

Bono seems to worm his way onto every Dubliners retrospective on here. Kelly & Drew were leagues beyond him.

In our home we call him Uncle Ronnie---he was always that much a part of the fabric of our lives. I miss him.

All I can say that I knew Ronnie in '63 and '64 in O'Donoughue's Pub on Merrion Row. He was always nice and kind to me as was his wife Deirdre, May God rest both of them. They are ever in my prayers.

My only connection with Ronnie Drew and Luke Kelly is through RU-vid. It makes me sad that I did not see them perform. They were wonderful performers and perfect gentlemen for Ireland. I will always miss them.

The version me n me Da listened to started with This song is seven drunken nights but I’m only gonna sing foyve of them! We’d fall about laughing even before the song began. I finally read all the verses outside my dad’s care home with him and my little sister last summer…… Jesus. No wonder Ronnie was only allowed to sing five in public.
