I miss him so much also. He really wasn't into the dark and blackness that so many think. He was a very talented guy ❤️ Starting out at age 5 playing the trumpet to please his Dad. Awesome kid and man❣️
That "kind and considerate man" did a LOT of lying and attempting to rewrite history in this particular interview here. He is trying to rewrite heavy metal history in this interview. Sorry....
@@vbassone So, what are the actual lies here? Could you please fill me in? I spent some three decades following Ronnie's career and I really don't get what you're on about...
@@hevihoo I said it clearly you moron.... He didn't "almost invent this business." What part of that don't you get? That's what "I'm on about." I'm on about THE TRUTH.
@@hevihoo vbassone is just upset that nobody will miss them long after they're gone. Or remembered for being kind & considerate like Dio. They're just a lowly internet contrarian. Shame...
Ronnie was a really nice guy and was very down to earth loved Ronnie when he was in Black Sabbath and also when he was in Rainbow and then having his own band Dio I loved Sacred Heart and Holy Diver, i also loved Rainbow in the dark. R.I.P Ronnie
He was an Icon the Rainbow Munich 1977 DVD was a great time capsule that showcased the best line up. The band were firing on all cylinders that night and thankfully the camera's were rolling you could see Ronnie was enjoying himself sadly that line up the band weren't meant to last Thank You Mr Blackmore but at least we have that DVD. RIP Ronnie and Cozy
A Tabish was a great show. My prediction is that if Dio hadn't passed away in 2010, he would've continued touring with Dio in 2009-2010 after wrapping up that summer 2009 Heaven and hell tour, and released magica 2 and 3 in those years with tours for each. That would've taken his career 4 or so years later, so fast forward to 2014-2015 and I bet he would've reunited with Blackmore. Fun to think about what Dio would've done had he not passed. Also depressing. May his music live on forever. What a guy! Rip the late great RONNIE JAMES DIO!
@@Budgie510 at 10:44 Ronnie says he wouldn't reunite with Rainbow. Since Blackmore is Rainbow, I don't think there would have been a chance in hell that Ronnie would ever do anything with Blackmore again.
@@vbassone Oh, please c'mon! Didn't you read his facial expressions at all! He cracked a joke at his own expense. Being the senior citizen who actually was already around the time rock and roll was invented. He started playing in bands in 50s so he paid his dues and learned his craft while the whole thing was being created. By the time of this interview he had already been active on six decades. Go check out some of those old Rainbow interviews. Most of the time it's pure Monty Python with a straight face between Ritchie and Ronnie.
@@hevihoo No no no.. YOU c'mon. Mr. Dio has ALWAYS had quite a high opinion of himself, and it is absolutely NOT a stretch to feel that he actually MEANT EVERY WORD of what he says here. As far as his facial expressions go, that's YOUR interpretation of his statements here. He looked pretty serious saying it to me. And just for the record i'll say it again; NO RONNIE, YOU DIDN'T "almost create this business." There you have it.
@@vbassone Yes, he absolutely knew how good he was and there's nothing wrong with it. He always shared his respect for the talented hard working people in the business. Whether it was his current bandmates, former ones, other musicians he met, roadies etc. If you were good and serious about your business, he acknowledged it. And that goes for Mr. Campbell too. He never spoke ill of his gifts and skills quite the opposite. But they didn't see eye to eye on a personal level and the business side of things got sour too. That was dirty and somewhat aired publicly but being a selfish, arrogant and an overall horrible person, there's testimonies like million to one. The one differing voice being Mr. Campbell. But then again, him being Irish and Ronnie an American Italian didn't help the things. Had he been selfish he still might be around these days. He would have taken the symptoms more seriously at an earlier stage instead of insisting going on the road and not letting the fans down. And he was very keen on dry British humour. So, the little smiles and the twinkle in his eyes gives away how serious he was on certain things.
@@hevihoo So I'm supposed to be impressed by your putting Dio on a pedestal? Get over it dude; Ronnie was a selfish guy. He was also a control freak which ruined his relationship with Ritchie Blackmore and Black Sabbath, TWICE! He attempted to take more control of BOTH Rainbow and Sabbath, and the LEADERS and FOUNDERS of those two bands, Blackmore, Iommi, and Geezer Butler WEREN'T HAVING IT!!!
I was fortunate to see Ronnie with Black Sabbath in 1992 (Minneapolis, USA - Oct 31) and with Heaven & Hell in 2007 (Hamilton, Canada - Sept 27). Both were fantastic shows. Obviously, he was an immensely talented artist. But I have watched several videos of him being interviewed like this one. What a genuine, down-to-earth person he was! In a business where it would be easy to, and so many have such big egos, he always seemed to resonate such gratitude for his success and for his fans, and exuded such humility. I met him after the show in Minneapolis. I was star-struck. But he was so disarming and he took time to sign autographs, take photos and even tell jokes. He made me and the other people there feel like he truly cared about who we were, where we were from etc. I remember when I asked him if I could have a photo with him. I was trying to be respectful of his personal space, but he put his arm around me and gave a thumbs up for the camera. What a great night that was. It's hard to believe he has been gone coming up on 15 years now. R.I.P.
Wonderful is Ronnie🎶i love always Commentings, a VERY GREAT BEING, mysteriously, yes but just the SINGER for all time, NO COMPARABLE without under singer👍🔥🎶RESPECT, LOVÉ RONNIE💋🤘
Amazing to know he made his first record in the late 1950's, look up Ronnie & The Prophets here on YT. He also recorded under Ronnie and The Redcaps, he had an amazing voice!
The devil you know? Personally i loved it. Depends on what you like about black sabbath with dio. Its like dehumanizer but... slower? More dark i think
Iron Maiden's first record came out the same year as the first Sabbath record with Dio, Heaven and Hell, 1980. What is he talking about that "the guys in Maiden grew up with the Dio version of Sabbath." NO THEY DIDN'T, they "grew up" with Sabbath during the original stretch of the Ozzy era between 1970-1978. What are you talking about Ronnie?
Ronnie said that many times he's in much better terms with the road crew members whom he highly respects since they actually do some work(see a light joke in there too) and couple of the guys from the Maiden road crew asked for the song. Do you actually think that they all started with Maiden back in 1975? There must be quite an age range in the crew nowadays. No doubt he's referring to these younger dudes there. By the way, I know many musicians who were around back in the day and were not that fascinated about the Ozzy era Sabbath and only got on board when Ronnie joined the band. So, in that sense you can say that they grew up with that era of the band although they may have later learned to appreciate the pioneering stuff also.
