"Ndiye Oga" is a Shona hymn that features on RonnieL’s debut gospel album “A Call to Love” carries the central theme of love, as well as, gratitude, friendship & relationship. The greatest command given to man was to love God with all our heart, mind and soul and then to love our neighbour as we love ourselves. Through the album, we wish to see people experience God's love and the restoration of their relationship with Him, through Worship.
The album has an interesting mix of sounds, languages and varying contemporary gospel styles. A kaleidoscope of original material and lyrics in Tshivenda, combined with some of my favourite Sesotho and Tshivenda hymns, that I grew up singing at home and Church. A touch of Shona demonstrates the Pan-African nature of the album, and a desire to take the message across the borders.
The sound is mostly mellow and will put you in the right space to worship. However, it also offers some contemporary upbeat praise tunes which will set your feet tapping and your hands clapping.
