Do you screw the roof to the metal frame from the inside part (the panel's face that faces the room)? Is it safe to do so? I am concerned that a strong wind can blow your roof away. Shouldn't it be safer to screw the roof from the exterior so the bolt crosses the whole panel and gets attached to the metal frame?
I have a BBQ pit and sink under my insulated patio. And I need to run pumping but want a clean look. I don't want to cut through concrete to run a pipe to the sink. Is it safe to drill a hole or two through these panels and come down from the top to the sink. It just happens that one of the pillars is right by the sink and it would look cleaner if I can come down from the top and down that pillar to the sink. I've never worked with these types of panels and don't want to mess it all up not knowing if I can drill two 3/4 inch holes through them.
I know right? I wish somebody would answer me because I'm looking at a screened in patio but just to have half of it insulated cuz I have a 10x30 but have a Jacuzzi out there so I was going to do just the screen super screen because I have cats, no kick plates, two doors and one fan beam. We're talking 11,000 something and that was with $1,000 off and another $300 off for military. I mean crazy but a pan roof. No way in Florida you'd be able to sit out there. Plus if I could get a sunroom at that same cost I mean you might as well do that right? As long as you could open the windows and get some wind going through but it looks like something you know. If you got a couple guys you could do it yourself. I don't know. I'm just trying to save money they want 3300 just for the screened portion over my hot tub. A 10x15 just screen 3300 and if I got a pan roof it would be a couple thousand less. But I was told again if you put the foam later people choose to do that but he said it gets all goofy and nasty and gross goopy. Sorry but and can get moldy and of course you can't walk on it so I don't know what to do and it doesn't look like anybody's answering on this page. So if you find out any info that can be helpful. My neighbor was looking to build a elite roof and asked me for help I do it for a living told him to get his tools his sons and a lawn chair with a cooler of ice walked them through it after I made them watch video I only had to get off my chair twice us card board end cap on header to not scratch panels
I know. I hope somebody will answer questions because I was curious about the cost. Was he putting AC out there? Was it windows? Can you screen the windows because I'm looking at a lot of money just for a screened in porch and I'm only getting half of it roofed it's a 10x30 the others are going to be just screening over my jacuzzi and it's 3300 just for the all screen part 10x15 all screen granted it is super screen because I have cats but he said the kick plates would be like the same price which is just crazy to me. We're talking about aluminum and screen so it doesn't look like anybody's getting their questions answered. So great! I guess I'll have to look on some kind of forum somewhere else or something. Or if anybody knows please tell me. Plus I was thinking about just doing a pan roof but I'm in Florida. It would be horrible and I was told adding the foam later. It just isn't a good idea that it gets gross and goopy and moldy and turns into basically slop. If anybody knows about this please let me know cuz that would save me a couple thousand dollars just to get it. Insulated is a couple thousand dollars. More 10x15 crazy. I was looking to get a screened in patio a 10x30 but only half of it insulated roof. The other half was just screen. Super screen, no kick plates, two doors and a fan bar you know and I think it's like 12,000 or 11,000 something and we're talking. It was 3300 just for all screen. Super screen cuz I have cats but still 10x15 all screen 3300. Wow! I could go just pan roof but I heard if you want to put insulation in later the foam that it gets goopy and nasty and it just isn't worth it. I'm not sure if he's just trying to upsell me or what I don't know. I have a friend that her husband built his own whole screened and patio all by herself. He just bought the kit but his self not her. Sorry about that. Anyway, I think there's was only like a 10x10. This looks like you are building a sunroom. Yes or is this like a screened in room but like with windows? Or is AC going to be going out to it or what? Anyway, would those questions? I hate to ask but how much are you looking at by doing it yourself the way you guys are? If you guys could answer that I would greatly appreciate it because this person is needing an answer within the next couple days. He already came off a thousand for me and he came off 300 more for military discount but still can you believe these prices? The other guy wanted like close to 16,000 for only half roof insulated. The rest all screen. It's nuts. I remember when it's green and porch cost. $2,500 before covid like a 10x12 wowie so I'm just curious. I would love to have it closed in with Windows with screens as I live in Florida too. That's another reason why I really hated to go pan because what's the point you would never be able to stay out there in the summer during the day. So if you guys can answer me as far as cost you know how hard it was to do. If it's you know with the windows are you having the AC go out but basically the cost of I guess it's the kit you bought or where you purchased it from.
