@alexpersitz8055 Typically it's not. The shingles are usually cut in 6" increments to form a 6 course pattern. This is a pyramid stagger pattern which is the preferred method as it alleviates a misalignment pattern straight up the roof every 3' across the roof surface.
@@larrycrookshanks1646 everyone says almost the exact same thing. Tradesmen never agree with one another, regardless of how many years they’ve been doing it. You’re always doing it wrong compared to someone else. I’m not saying this guy is right, but your years of experience and word means Jack and shit when it comes to trades. It’s actually sad to think about because when people try to learn a trade you’ve literally got 5 different tradesmen telling you 10 different ways of doing something. Everyone thinks their methods are best and everyone else is doing something wrong.
