A lot people seem to keep thinking this essentially turns your bicycle into the equivalent of a rigid, total environmentally protected and sealed car. That is **NOT** what this is for. It is a light rain/ flurry, low wind and mild cold shield. If you would be scared to take even a normal car on a windy mountain top or through a hurricane, then you shouldn't be cycling at all thru those in the first place, canopy, raincoat, or otherwise. This thing makes a world of difference to help keep your handle bar area, seat, upper body, and even rear wheel carrier dry when even the lightest shower can leave you drenched, your bike accessories soaked and your bike rusting. Plus, it covers the side, where most only cover the front.
The thing about the weather this is perfect for, is that it's unexpected. You can see the hurricane coming, but this is best used with pop up showers. It's too bulky to keep on the bike at all times in its current form
Rendering you completely unable to signal before manoeuvring and catching every gust of wind. Hope these don't take off (no pun intended). Very dangerous indeed!
