We are back at the cabin build! Today we go all the way from rafters to metal on the cabin roof.
The guys have been working hard in between other jobs and visitors to keep up the cabin's progress. We are so close to having the exterior work done, that we can taste it!
Luckily, the weather has been amazing and we should have the metal totally one before any more rain hits. Then we can work on fixing up those floors and getting the whole cabin weather-tight.
Our homestead really is beginning to come together this summer. We will be living in our little off-grid home before we know it.

Have to add, genius idea to install the ridge cap as you go and tuck the other side under, just did mine after the roof was done and it was scary!

Your cabin is looking good. It looks so scary when they climb up on the top to put the metal on. I watched this guy in Louisiana who calls himself a bee wrangler. I thought that mesh Levi added was smart after watching the bee wrangler remove bees that have gotten up into rafters. I bet the next time we see the cabin, the roof will be on there. Hi, just found your channel, nice looking cabin. I would like to ask why you have chosen not to put a water proof membrane under your tin, are you not worried about condensation dripping on to your insulation?
