In this video it says the ALA MOANA HOTEL, and I don't remember this HOTEL?,is it actually in ALA MOANA CENTER? I grew up in Honolulu Hawaii, and when I was in high school I worked at a restaurant, on the street level, and my father worked across the street from ALA MOANA, and sometimes he would come see me,as I was a busboy,but ALA MOANA CENTER, boasts the largest open mall in the world, with more than 200 stores, from street level to the 2nd level, and across the street is a beach and right over a little bridge is WAIKIKI, and a Veterans hotel, called the HALE KOA,but my brother told me that they have built high rise buildings on the 2nd level, with apartments or Condos for sale but ALA MOANA, caters to the tourists, not the local people, and I remember years ago when my father would take us to a restaurant, near FISHERMANS WHARF, to go eat a all you can eat buffet and on the end,was a Chef, who would Carve you a slice of RIBEYE STEAK,and it was called CHUCK MASHADDOWS,STEAK HOUSE, and it was a TREAT for me and my brothers and sisters, but land in Hawaii, is to expensive so people have sold their houses and left, but rarely did we go to a fancy, fine-dining restaurant, as I rather stay at home, but Manhattan is the same way, living in the Valley, cooler,but very nice and quiet but times have changed the islands, much more expensive now,but Hawaii will always be my hometown and if my father wanted to have a Great meal, we always stayed at home, and my mother would make food for my grandparents, who lived next door in the big house, brings back memories many moons ago.
