Very thorough and unbiased. Thanks. I have the old style you used to have. It does make me work harder but at my age I consider it exercise. Lol. See you down the Australian road when the border is finally opened! 👍🏻🙏🏽😷🦘
I'd recommend an electric blanket instead of the Buddy propane heater. It very nice to keep the bed warm and with that it keeps the tent warm too. I've used both, and the electric blanket is way more comfortable, and stays consistent through the night.
@@sergeikuznetcov8240 I ordered flannel blanket from amazon. Flannel has less static charge than the fleece ones. Check the description not just the title if you order.
Hello epic family from the Pacific Northwest. Just wanted to share a thank you for including us in your adventures and I am ecstatic to see your channel continue to grow. Videos are always fun and informative, love seeing the periodic upgrades y'all have incorporated. Take care and stay safe.
Great review of your new tents. Very interesting how space management, organization and personal preferences come to bare when purchasing gear. So these types of reviews and insights on how you use the gear are very important. Thank you for sharing!
Great review, I have got a build in rooftop tent for my VW Transporter 4Motion Campervan (minivan with 4 wheel drive and differential locker in the rear) with a roofrack and solarpanels, works great!
You do a great Review Peter , thanks ! Can you Review Clothing some day ? - I see your all wearing Fjallraven pants these days, I have 2 pairs also and their fantastic. Good quality Hiking clothing, lightweight, breathable, water resistant etc, I think makes life, like Drying them out, packing space etc, so much more comfortable. It’s all about Quality of Life while enjoying the Backcountry, I think, and you guys seem to have perfected that ! Enjoy. 🙏🌲🇨🇦
@EpicFamilyRoadTrip you should buy two extra load bar on top of the tent and install 2 solar panels on them with an anderson plug so its an easy on and off set-up plus youll have better ventilation under the panels, solar panels who get hot doesn't works at their best.
Nicely done on the review. I currently have the Mt Shasta I initially thought my kids would like to go on a trip, well that's a big negative. I'm considering the fact of getting the My Hood for the simple fact you that it gives you the ability to mount on top like solar panels. Thanks for this great review
Thank so much for the review! It’s very helpful! Did you say you can mount a kayak? Does CVT sell the racks for them? How much did you say the roof top tent can hold? 100 Lbs?
I was really hoping to get the 56" and be able to fit my son in there until he's old enough to want to ground camp on his own. Thank you for reviewing it, hopefully you'll do another review after some harder use down the line.
This Flatbed rooftop tent is very convenient. How easy/difficult is it to install or remove when you don't use it. And. cost details will be really helpful.
Hey Peter curious as to how much legroom you have as well. I seem to remember you saying you are a fairly tall guy - I'm 6'2" and looking closely at this tent. Unfortunately I can't find one nearby to check out in person.
Hi There I’m 6’4• and I Just fit. I can stretch a bit ant touch head and toe. We went with this tent for ease of set up and take down, but we compromised a bit on interior space. Hope that helps.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THIS INFORMATION VERY HELPFUL. I M FROM CANADA QUEBEC , AND HERE WE HAVE CAP-IT STORE IN WEST SIDE SELL CVT MOUNT HOOD , BUT WITH THE NAME CAP-IT. MADE BY CVT. AND I M ON THE MARKET TO BUY ONE , HAVE TACOMA OFFROAD WITH ALU CAB EXPLORER CANOPY ON MY BED, AND ALU CAB RTT ARE OVERKILL FOR MY BUDGET. THIS ONE LOOK LIKE VERY GOOD OVERALL AND MORE FRIENDLY BUDGET FOR ME. SO AFTER ALL THE TIME YOU HAVE , YOU RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.... HAVE A GOOD DAY
Thanks for the information on the roof top tent by CVT. I like the one Chris Shontz has on his Jeep on Venture 4WD Channel, but Ursa Minor is mega bucks. It seems that CVT came up with a great option and much less in price. I bet CVT sells a bunch just based on your review of it. Also with the new Bronco's coming out, there will be a ton more conversions going on in the next 3 years.
Hi, I am new to your channel and I am loving it, what roof rack do you have on your jeeps? I have a JLU that want to turn into my first overlanding rig. Thanks!
Thank you for your video... When I go road trip, How and where I do shower? If you did't make video, Please make that contents. Now I am building a camping car with 4 runner toyota.
Peter, curious about how much leg room you have when stretch out. The 82 inch interior , is it enough to be comfortable? I know roofnest offers an 88 inch in their Falcon series. But I think CVT "s is a little better on their build. Take care, and be safe.
