The Warsaw University Library has these incredible gardens on the rooftop that we were told about from lots of people in advance of visiting Warsaw. As with lots of Poland, the local advice for things to add to our travel vlog have been pretty on point and the Library garden was the same.
The Warsaw Neon Museum was an incredible place to check out, a different spin on a museum all together, so we were pleased to visit. Its a shame we couldn't vlog in there, but it was worth the travel out there.
Overall, a pretty fun and relaxed travel vlog exploring Warsaw and seeing more of what Poland has to offer. Never expected to be visiting a university rooftop garden and a neon museum during our stay in Warsaw!

Go to Łazienki Park and don't forget to take nuts for the squirrels, they are really tame. On Sunday at 12 a.m. and 4 p.m. there are free Chopin concerts.

Go to Pałac w Wilanowie, it is so beautiful there! The Neon Museum is about 5 minutes from my house, it's a pity that I didn't encounter you!

Yes! The royal garden is beautiful and really peaceful, a lot of newly wed couples go there for photoshoots! Have you been to the Łazienki Park yet?

Warsaw is a hard nut to crack, I've never really got into it, you've found some cool places though. Lodz is not far away, huge city with tons of history but hardly any tourists. I think you should check out Wroclaw before you leave Poland, the town square is stunning and it has a nice vibe.

Love your blog! If you are still in Warsaw you should definitely go to Lazienki Park and see the Palace on water, there are also free Chopin concerts on Sundays-worth visiting! I also recommned Saska Kepa neighborhood, cool, leafy district with pre-war villas and plenty of cafes and restaurants (also with hidden gardens-try Biala or Eden Bistro). Try also Boulevars by the Vistula River, Breakfast Market (Targ Sniadaniowy) in Zoliborz district (on Saturdys), Hala Koszyki (food hall), Old Town and Krakowskie Przedmiescie (obvious), Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews (cool buidling and interesting exhibition) and last but not least the new Museum of Polish Vodka in Koneser Factory!

If you have time in Warsaw you should visit the Wilanów Palace which is a short car trip outside the city. It has fantastic gardens and interiors to see. The Modlin Fortress (50 kilometers North of Warsaw) is also very interesting. It is the largest 19th century fortress in Poland. If you'd like a bit of an upscale date night head to Stary Dom Restaurant, delicious traditional cuisine!

Praga is more-less Warsaw's Bronx although is sort-of gentrified now, but old habits die slowly over there, be careful :)

If you have time, you should check out Malbork Castle. It's a bit north of Warsaw, but worth it. Largest teutonic castle in Europe.

Never thought the ruins of my former faculty building will make it to a Kiwi travel vlog :). Since you've already visited the Warsaw Uprising Museum and know a bit about the 1944 insurrection, you might want to head to Smulikowskiego street which just several hundred yards south of the University Library. Find number 10 and take a look at the wall to see the actual bullet holes from the Uprising. Oh, and the sign in the rooftop garden says "Maintenace Passage" :). Cheers and have a good time in our city.

Nice view from the rooftop garden... Wish I'd know of it last year... Stayed in the Praga district last year... During the "Alternative Warsaw" tour (Praga side of river) we learned it wasn't bombed like the Warsaw side of the river, but also that people are more willing to let things crumble before rebuilding... Definitely gave a view of old vs new - Poland style...

Guarantee that you guys will find something different to explore and share! The Neon Museum looks amazing. There is a much smaller but really interesting display of neon light art installations at the Tate Modern Gallery in London. Most recently they commissioned a neon light installation using around 2 kilometres of neon tubing. Keep these unusual locations coming! :)

while in Warsaw you should eat in traditional Polish dinner "bar mleczny" (milk bar). They sometimes have really communistic atmosphere. There are two that I would recommend in particular. First one is in the city centre on Krucza street, it is called "Bar Mleczny Bambino". Food there is really tasty, there is very often a line of people waiting for a table in the lunch time but it was modernised and doesn't have this socialistic vibe anymore. The 2 is 10-15 min away by tram in Zoliborz (Say Zoliborskie to be exact) and it is called "Bar Mleczny Sady Zoliborskie". This one haven't almost change for past 40 years. Food is more like it used to be in communism, still good for a milk bar but not restaurant level. Also it is mostly visited by locals who eat here everyday. No matter which bar you decide to go you should have some kind of soup like barszcz (beetroot soup) or chlodnik (cold beetroot soup, very refreshing in summer), traditional Polish kotlet schabowy (breaded pork chop) best with kapusta zasmazana (young cabbage) and as you have already had pierogi then you should try knedle ze sliwkami (kind of pierogi with plum but the dough is different). Generally bar mleczny is a must in Poland.

btw, those places are extremely cheap but when you order the main course you should not forget to order side dishes too, so potatoes or salad as they are normally not included. Very popular drink in a milk bar would be kompot which is made of fresh boiled fruits.
