Its actually not. For the skier he needs to hold on too the handle tight and he also will need to jump at the right angle of attack. If he jumps slightly higher he can fall. The reason why its super hard is not only cause of the angle of attack but the jetski is not going to stop,the jetski will stop for a while when launched and when that happens,the water skier still needs to make sure that he does not lose control. Many things can go wrong during the launch as it works like a catapult so its actually quite pain if you land hard on that water.
