Room 101 - Julian Clary (3 of 3) 

Julian Clary is one of the people on my list of 'People the world would be worse without'.

I remember Julian & Fanny on the cabaret circuit - they were fab. Paul Merton was just starting out at the Comedy Store then too, so this takes me back to London in the mid-80's - thanks for posting!

Love this! I always remembered it from years ago and came across it today! I remembered it coz i agreed and still do with the Dog years thing!

I agree completely with Julian on dogs, Its absolutely heartbreaking watching a dog that you had for years that is full of life and joy running around everywhere especially when you yourself are young child and then suddenly just watching it detoriate with age and illness where standing or eating is a visibly painful activity. Why cant dogs live forever :(

Strange! Julian now lives in the country-side, in a house once owned by Noel Coward. It's near Aldington (Kent), not far from where Paul O'Grady (aka Lily Savage) has a menagerie of dogs and farm animals.

Aw .. thething about the dog really made me sad, since I've lost a few pets in my lifetime =( You could tell Julian was upset by the whole thing too.

I thought Julian was going to cry when he was talking about his dog, was kind of sad.

"I first had fanny when I was 22..." After that he realised he was gay LOL BTW that Freddie and the Dreamers dance is *never* going to be seen as one of the cool parts of the 60s.
