I feel the same about the drama cliches. Especially shows like CSI, when one CSI is explaining to another CSI about a procedure or just something they should obviously know about.
I'm not a Brit, so I didn't knew Frank Skinner. I saw him in Taskmaster and really liked him. I liked his appearance and he seemed rather cute (no homo). Alice Levine I also know only from Taskmaster and Would I Lie To You. I find her gorgeous.
Fantastic lineup! Love Bill in everything, Una's awesome and worked with Jon Pertwee himself, and Alice makes the porno podcast funny just by her infectious laugh!
today on ReWatch : 3 years later, Fried-A evening, bowl's glowing, lighting the way to Room 101. when people are loud on their phones, I join in on the conversation like I'm loud on my phone, only I don't have a phone, yes, I'm slightly mad.
As an American, my only knowledge of Una Stubbs comes from Lee Mack's ex-girlfriend's names making up the acronym BERMUDA. Also Frank said he likes to imagine that the horse was pulled underneath the truck on top of a mechanic's dolly/creeper. Well if you look closely at 27:05, it basically is. That was one hell of a movie scene. Made my day. Absolutely the worst stunt I've ever seen in my life, and the best part was that it appears to have been done with complete sincerity.
I agree with Alice. I hate when characters in a tv drama say lines they would never say in real life, solely for the benefit of the viewers, or to set up a great line from another actor. That’s just lazy writing.
Add to bucket list: Move to London, figure out which bus lines Alice uses and offer her the window seats like she demonstrates until she figures out I am mocking her. Maybe hire 10 dedicated "sitters" to ensure success.
Excuse my ignorance but WTF is Taramasalata? I think I got married to the sound of that Taramasalata song. One of the greatest love songs ever written. I think it's a ShoWaddyWaddy song. The greatest band of all times, no doubt.
i knew someone that worked in a women's clothing store. she told me which changing rooms had camera for shoplifters so i could avoid them. i wasn't a shoplifter. she didn't she with the cameras. she would direct people to the rooms without them.
Maybe when one sees you with bags they think distance matters less than helping you out. In any case, it's often just because they've underestimated the distance or the speed it will take you to traverse it. I think Alice is being very uncharitable in her perception of others' politeness. Don't assume passive aggression when misjudgment is equally likely an explanation.
And Paul Merton didn’t overrule everyone at every opportunity. Frank Skinner always has an irrelevant story for every proposal and worse props than Carrot Top.
Of course it is just common courtesy to say, "Thank you," but when I hold a door or something for someone, I consider it a sign of poor breeding if I expect a smile or word of thanks. That is not at all what courtesy is about. To expect anything in return is just uncivilized.
I feel the same way.but I hate it when you hold the door and the person says thanks you. Then gives you a dirty look for not saying anything back. Like they need acknowledgement for acknowledging what you did, a little pat on the back for saying thanks.
I like Bill, but disagree about people who wear big headphones. Big headphones sound far better. Earbuds are in your ear & just sound rubbish, I know a few people who have lumps in their ears cause by earbuds.
I don't think it's her real colour (go watch her on Taskmaster and in the VTs you'll see dark roots), but... yes. She is. Very beautiful face, great laugh, witty, etc. It would mean she dyes her eyebrows though.
Love you Bill Bailey but mid-fifties time to ditch the daft trademark tresses. Your pal Sean Lock changed his look even though he didn't need to. Your turn.
I have never heard of that Taramasalata but it sounds gross. Honestly I find most Greek food weird or meh. Like it's greasy middle eastern food with no flavor.
