I got into New Age beliefs and practices which I didn’t even know what New Age was at the time. I was practicing law of attraction, meditation, saw a psychic and listened to subliminals and frequencies. Around the same time is when the sleep paralysis began for me. During this sleep paralysis, I would hear scary demonic screams and see scary figures/ shadows or even feel nails scratching my back and I would try desperately to wake up and move my body but it would take a very long time to get out of that paralyzed state. Then one day as I was watching a video on RU-vid, suddenly a different video started playing titled “From New Age to Jesus”. It played without me clicking on it and it interrupted the other video I was watching. I felt compelled to watch it even though I had no idea what New Age was and hadn’t thought about Jesus since childhood. In this video the person was sharing their experience about getting sleep paralysis after getting into New Age practices and Jesus saved them from it. I was desperate to try anything to not have sleep paralysis after having it for months so I decided I would call out to Jesus the next time I had sleep paralysis. That same night after listening to that person share their experience, I had horrible sleep paralysis and yelled out to Jesus and I immediately woke up. It happened several more times over that week and I was able to get out of the paralysis every time I yelled the name of Jesus. I also found many other people on youtube with similar experiences to mine after they started getting into the New Age. After Jesus repeatedly saved me from sleep paralysis I came to trust in Him and I felt a change in my heart during my sleep that same night. It felt like the most beautiful loving feeling and water flowing from my heart. I woke up with a desire the next morning to learn about Jesus and read the Bible. I also felt more love and compassion for my family, friends and strangers. Each of us will die someday. God has a standard He will judge you by after you die, it’s called the 10 commandments. Let’s look at a few of them. Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever taken Gods name in vain (use it as a curse word)? Have you ever commuted adultery? Jesus said if you look at someone with lust that is considered committing adultery in your heart. Would you go to heaven or hell if God judged you by His perfect standard? Each of us have broken some of Gods commandments which is why Jesus came to live a sinless life and sacrifice His life on the cross to take your punishment on Himself, so that you could be with Him forever. This act was the greatest act of love ever given. He rose from the dead 3 days later... defeating death. God commands that we repent for our sins and trust in Jesus to receive eternal life in heaven. He promises to give us a new heart with new desires. He changed my heart once I put my trust in Him. Jesus said, “He who believes in the Son/Jesus has eternal life, but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36). Jesus is about to take/Rapture His faithful believers to safety in heaven before the wrath of God is sent upon the wicked. Jesus said “If you love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15). Jesus said the Greatest Commandment is to love God with all your heart, soul and mind and the second is to love others as yourself (Mat. 22:36-39). - If you are left behind after the Rapture, you may have an idol. Having an idol means loving anything more than God. Idols can be persons, places or things. God hates idols and wants to be #1 your heart. If you seek God first, He will take care of all your needs (Mat. 6:33). - Having unforgiveness in your heart is another reason you could be left behind. “If you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions” (Mat. 6:15). Ask God to help you forgive others, He was the only way I was able to be able to forgive certain people. Jesus is our greatest example because while he was being tortured and killed, He asked God to forgive them. “Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you” (Mat. 5:44).
