@@catius9206 Did you just make that up because you like it? Lovely as Rudra Veena is, that is not even close to correct. Rudra Veena was developed in the 15th century. The oldest known stringed instruments are the Lyres of Ur dating back 4500 years. This took five minutes of research...facts: check em.
the drut gat was created by ustad amir khan sahab for the sarodiyas of sahajahanpur gharana... but it has very well been performed here.... kyaa baat hai
This full performance was just incredible. Paying for a full membership was one of the best uses of my money that I can think of and has enriched my life. The fact that we get performances once reserved for royalty... for 10 bucks a month is a no brainer.
The only music, and I repeat, the only music in the world that has the power to uplift the mind to higher consciousness, probably even to the state of samadhi is bhartiy shastriy sangit.
Realllly really special play... Much better than most I have heard lately. Does not wish to prove her expertise, she just plays to reach the utmost blissful moment of music! Transporting us to another plane!
I live in Leicester UK for last fifty years. I swear by All Mighty Allah that I have never heard in my entire life any body playing more beautifully than this lady. She is no doubt a Princess of playing this instrument. May Allah give her a very long life and very good health to keep playing this very instrument. Bless her with best wishes......Asif Shah
Tabla, Sitar and Vina, three instruments are played very sweetly. It spell bound us. Thus Indian classics shake our mind and soul. ----Bibekananda Basak, from Alipurduar district, West Bengal
@@catius9206 yes here is the recording - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lS9bkuwioNI.html he definitely plays it better but that is expected I guess, there is a motif which roopa plays in this video which is almost identical to what Ustad Vilayat khan describes as his grandfathers composition, he says 'Dada ka ang' which I think mean grandfathers song? there is also another melody which he sings in the recording and roopa plays it at 4:38. She's from the same gharana I think. the ni sa re sa composition is heavily played in ustad ji's recording.
I just wanted know the amount of dedication to achieve such a excellence and the way 1 could follow??? why are there pseudo obstacles enough to hold any1 to achieve anything great...
i am strangely drawn to indian music history and culture, hinduism had also impacted me more than any other spiritual practice. i may have lived past lives in india. i can feel this music in my heart, these songs are almost alive and if you listen they will speak to you.
