All I could think about in the start was this quote; "We're the old men, Ace" from Johnny Rico in Starship Troopers. Idk why but it just kept popping up in my mind
can you even imagine how tragic it would be to sincerely believe that people make the deliberate and calculated choice to be upset by something and stating it like you're some kind of great hero
+Jake Cotton I know for a fact that they DID broadcast the clip for Crunch Time, because I've seen it on tumblr. The uploader cut all the video clips to avoid copyright issues. You can probably find the clips either on tumblr or if someone else uploads these panels. Mi Channel has always cut videos from the live streams they upload.
oh man it's weird seeing this this after Joel's termination, you can see all the jabs and jokes on Joel and at the time you think they're were semi kidding but no it seems they hated him.
I don't know if it's only for sponsors but it probably will be, they make alot of money they don't need to put everything on their website, that's a lie
What they normally do is they do 4-5 test episodes, then make changes that are needed. For instance there are 4 episodes if the Off Topic podcast that are sponsor only.
MicroMindRyan Most of the time that's what they do. But I thought Geoff said they wanted to make more things just for their sponsors and that would be one of them.
+Daksh Chhokra Surely RT is the owner of those streams. But I guess they don't mind then people upload them but only without exclusive footage or trailers. Because videos with those clips often get blocked. Probably because RT are going to upload those clips themsevles sooner or later.
He naturally is an impatient person. He's always been that way it seems. Prime example as to why he is no longer active on the RT Podcast or On The Spot. When he gets bored, he prolongs everything.
@@matthewdaub he seems to have gotten along fine with Matt, and Burnie for a while. Gus to a degree as well. Him and Jack were supposed to be pretty good friends for a while But I think when I wrote my original comment I was just watching founders panels in a row and was just seeing a wider gap between Joel and Geoff than Joel and the others. And I'm talking on screen as opposed to during work.
+fesh fesh The audience seemed kind of dead for *every* podcast and panel they did. Watching the RT podcast was super cringey because they'd make a joke and it would just be dead silence in the crowd. I dont think it was the mics either because you could hear people laughing at like 1 out of every 15 jokes.
+ktgcake Oh yeah those Australians are really known for being quiet and well-mannered /s. British people are known for that. It was the mics that didn't pick up everything the audience said. Trust me, they weren't dead.
+jamesonknott I'm an Australian but didn't make it to RTX Australia, and I have to say I noticed the same thing. I couldn't watch the entirety of podcast 360 because the jokes just seemed to fall flat with the crowd, even though I enjoyed a lot of them
My god if I went to Australia I would be FUCKED. this is a conversation between me and an Australian: Aussie: what do you want? Me: Jack and Coke Aussie: we don't have Jack Me: It's chi, bruh. Lemme just get some Fireball [some dude walks in with vans on] Me: DAMN, DANIEL! AT IT AGAIN WITH THE WHITE VANS! [pause] Me [pots hands together and points at person with them] BOY!
