root cellar update april 2023 

So the freezer/root cellar kept small beets good until late March despite it being outside, under snow for 6 months. Temperatures going down to as much as -25 degrees (C). Long enough for the ground to become workable again when I found that the parsley-root that I had forgotten to harvest was still good. So having beets to eat year round is becoming a reality!
