I have nothing against Rick on a personal level... he's an excellent source of information within the Destiny community... HOWEVER.... it's just his voice... and his overall demeanor is just so damn cringe... I feel the same about Nimbus...
The way you teach is absolutely perfect and it’s insane how underrated your channel is. I watched your other guides for deep stone and kings fall and even though I knew how to do the raids, I still watched because it was genuinely entertaining. Thanks for your work even if it’s not noticed by many people 👍
Just came across this vid, very well done. The way you actually break down each mechanic instead of glossing over it, is a step that most "bigger day one raiders who make content" either don't or won't do. Your channel should be bigger and I will do my best to spread the word about you. Thanks again!
If I'm not mistaken, the bubble to refresh the buff should always be 2 plates behind you in the sequence. This is true except for the beginning of the sequence when there are only two plates currently active. If we were to assign a number to each plate based on the order the purple orb spawns, the route would look something like this: get buff @ 1 -> consume @ 2 -> refresh 1 -> consume 3 -> refresh 2 -> consume 4 -> refresh 3 -> consume 5, etc. Hope this helps you runners out there!!
This is the best raid guide I’ve seen yet, most guides I’ve seen before somehow make things seem more complicated but yours explains each encounter quite clearly , well done and thanks.
I'm just glad they HELP. I never intend them to be the end all be all either as I'm sure y'all will figure even better ways out! Warms my heart to hear, happy raiding!
DUDE THANK YOU You're very aware of dragging on and getting to the point as well with showing visual representation that actually makes sense!! This video inspired me to complete my very first RoN !! SUBSCRIBED
your raid guides are so fucking good. idk i love datto i think he makes fantastic videos but i always end up kinda overwhelmed and confused when i watch his raid guides. you make it quick and to the point. love your guides
Wow, finally someone who knows how to do a guide without leaving out a lot of very important details. They matter. Other vids just brush past some key info and just leave it out. Well done!!
Tbh I am not doing raids on a regular base, because I have no team and of course don’t know most of the mechanics. But this channel gives me hope to really learn any raid now! Your explanation is seriously so calming and on point! Exactly what I was looking for. Most of the other channels are making the mechanics look like magic… but you are really referring to the absolute basics! Thank you so much for this awesome work! 🙏🏼
Thank you for explaining it the simplest way possible u cut right to the chase. It's a great video, and I liked it and subbed keep up the great work man👍👍😀
These comments really give me the positive energy to keep going. I take all of these to heart and I'm just so glad these HELP in any small way. Happy Raiding out there!!
I had been told that Explicator is the hardest boss because of the planet mechanic, but you explained it in a digestible and easy to understand way. No fluff. No long-winded explanations. Perfectly simple. 11/10 would explain the same way you did.
This is actually the best guide of root of nightmares I've seen. All other ones came out the next day the raid came out and those guides are missing a lot of details about the raid. This guide on the on the other hand is an actual full complete guide. We'll done 😊
This is the only channel that explained it in a simple way. I’m not knew to destiny but I’m new to the different mods and weapons and raids ect. I have been watching the big destiny streamers explain this and it still sounds foreign to me. But this was actually understandable 🎉
Wow. Just wow.. thanks for that.. Still seems like I'm going to get crushed, but I've watched a bunch of videos and this is so incredibly much better of an explanation of the node mechanic.. Thanks a bunch. Just subscribed.
After initially enabling the light buff and shooting the first dark orb, doesn't the runner have to return to the aura orb to re-enable their light buff before shooting another black orb? Doesn't the runner have to do this each time after shooting the dark orb? In other words, the ad clear and support players can't shoot the aura orb because if they do, the runner won't be able to re-enable their light buff and hence won't be able to shoot the next black orb until the aura orb re-energizes.
That's correct. The arrow points you to the next node in the chain that you have to shoot. It has nothing to do with where the "source' bubble is located.
Once both runners are done, look up towards his throne. There will be a mini square relic pyramid-looking object. That object will literally charge up and shoot a bright laser at him. That makes him "vulnerable" and ready to take damage. I recommend someone/anyone on the team, literally stare up at it while everyone is huddling together on a damage plate
Hmm. We just finished this raid but your explanation on the 2nd encounter with the death gap is strange….add clear people don’t need to buff themselves by shooting the orb….they just stand in a completed node’s aura…
I agree, after some time I was really unhappy with it. So I made a new version of only the 2nd encounter: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YeN8vyuHCXU.html Hope this helps!
All my XBOX ONE friends quite when Destiny 2 first came out because the game was really bad at launch . I haven't done a single raid in D2. I tried LFG but the community is so damn toxic . If you don't have a certain weapon or know exactly what to do they act like AHOLES . I guess they forget when they didn't know what to do and someone showed them how to do whatever raid they were doing. I would love to do any of the raids but it is what it is. I still have fun with the exotic weapons and armor I have and that's all that matters.
I agree there are lots of toxic groups in LFG but there are also lots of good groups. Look for lfg titles like teaching run or chill run and you might have better luck. Hope that helps, goodluck to you
Could not agree with this more. When we have to LFG for 1 or 2 we will post "we are all chill" or "we are teaching/sherpa run no need for XYZ." I actively avoid KWTD unless I'm in a hurry
This is the clearest guide I’ve watched. ❤ Not only did you explain exactly what to do and where to go, you explained the actual mechanic and what to look for, and WHY each person needs to do what they’re doing. As a neurodivergent person, I find it really hard to fully grasp guides by bigger creators, but this was super easy to follow. Thanks so much!
I've always though i was the type that could not learn without doing, but watching this vid (after first watching dattos and kakis and thinking wtf bruh this makes no sense) this is really clear dude i'm fairly confident im good to go.
Absolutely brilliant. So easy, and straight forward, and those quick reviews after you explain are sooo helpful and effective to recap everything. Subscribed!
Omg coming back to Destiny after a long break its so good to watch a Raid guide that does not start with "We did this day one on contest mode" with a ton of stuff you really do not need to even know.
Hands down the best guide. But what you meab by "chain" in the firet encounter and why no guide shows how to actually connect them? Is this content protected by bungie and no one is allowed to show it?
the only guide i undrestand thank you so much. english is not my first language so i struggle to undrestand most guides but not this one. really simple thanks
Question: when I was doing this encounter I was explained basically the same thing you said. I’d kill my colossus, grab the buff, and then look up at my planets. Except…. On your video the dark planets are clearly dark. And light planets clearly light. My planets looked normal. No changes.
It might have been someone's stray bullet killed your Colossus, basically taking your buff. That would be my first guess! But hard to say unless we can get view of your run
