In just eight days my store-bought lemon grass is ready to be transplanted to its permanent pot. This video will show the procedure to follow in rooting and transplanting lemon grass. Please share if you found this video helpful.
I bought a lemon grass from the grocery section of a mall. It had very minimal root not like the one you showed in this video. But after few days of watering it sprouted. I now have a lot of lemon grasses for the kitchen. I mean they're easy to grow. This guy is not like other plant vbloggers. He seems professional.
Anybody else loved kuya's voice and accent? It sounds so official.. It's almost like a stern reminder that he's not to be messed with. I'm now, therefore, a subscriber.
This can be done but it's quite counterproductive to propagate it via the part of the plant that you want to consume (unless this is the only way for you to get an initial plant stock). There is usually a brown outer leaf layer connected directly to the root system which I peel off and put into the ground. So you get your nice thick piece of lemongrass and the roots grow to become another full plant. Another way is to divide a clump of lemongrass; take the thick piece for consumption and the other (usually tinier) grass leaves just break em off with their portion of the roots, separate em and voila; multiple new juicy stalks that can be further divided.
Easy and least expensive way of growing your own Lemon Grass Plant by purchasing from vegetable market. Exactly same approach with Mint (Just one cutting of it can root in water and take over the whole pot in a month or two) Thank You for Sharing
Hello po..pag napapa nuod co vid mo nag eenjoy po aco kc ang dame copo lesson na nakukuha sayo..tulad po nito. Matakaw po ba sa tubig ang tanglad at kelan po dapat diligan
I filled up my small pot with water up to the brim when I put the lemongrass stalk in it. It started to rot after 8 days with no roots. I will try again with just 2 inches of water as suggested.
I think it's because you need to change water evert now and then. He failed to mention it in this video. I usually change it every other day. I use water from faucet but since it's chlorinated I leave water in clear plastic bottle in Sun for a day to let chlorine evaporate. I also wash the stock gently when I change water as it feels slimy and had moldy odor. BTW it took longer than 8 days to have roots like that in my case. It's more like a month for me
Hi actually third try ko na magtanim ng tanglad. Successful naman ang pagpapaugat ko. Kaso pag tinatransfer ko na namamatay. Ano kaya problem ung soil ko ba? Dapat ba hindi ko muna paarawan.
Hello Late grower! I just bumped into yr video and wanted to ask where you got the Vermicompost or could you send me the website of the company making it. Thanks and keep up the great videos!

Hi, in the early stage (day 1-8) does the water in the cup need to be replaced daily? And when it is moved to the pot, do we water it daily or every other day? Thank you for your help
Hello Nur Nur, replace the water when it turns murky., it could be daily or every other day. Use water with no chlorine. Once in the pot water only when the top soil gets dry. Avoid over-watering to allow the roots to grow stronger. Thanks.
$0.1 is equivalent to 5 pesos. I know this comment is already past 3 years but i want to answer it right because sorry the amount of 250 comment below is wrong. I guess it was misunderstood as how much is $5 in peso and the correct answer would be P250. But if your question is how much is P5 in dollar and then the correct answer is $0.1
Pang malamig na lugar po kasi ang Patatas at hindi nagkakalaman sa mainit na panahon gaya ng lugar ko sa Metro Manila kaya hindi ako gumagawa ng video sa kanya.
I have grown lemon grass for months now. But oh! My neighbor's cats eat my lemon grass everyday. I feel like killing the cats because I couldn't harvest anything.
