This type of jump rope is good for low impact, knee injuries, and useful in smaller enclosed spaces where normal jump ropes would not operate well (like low ceilings, indoors, less noise, etc.). This takes timing & coordination. I am not used to this type of equipment when skipping rope and still need to work on the wrist motions to match my jumps. Although, I feel there is an important and new "feel" to performing the movements that helps you understand how to do it. I embrace the new challenge.
