This reminds me of 30years ago when I met a man Jerry Bridges in a little African town KwaMhlanga. I bought his book The Persute of Holiness and my story unfolded. My wife today says that even my Cancer has not stopped me being obsessed with Jesus. I started a Urbsn Farm last year and its hard, but O, how we experience Gods grace. Love from South Africa.😇🤗🙏🇿🇦

Been following Joey and Rory's journey for a long time. The loss of Joey was heartbreaking but so heartwarming to see Rory continue their legacy of love and faith. I love what you said at the end of video, 'it's getting dark out there,so go out there and glow' Shining light into darkness is something we all need to remember to do. I met Rory once My mother is In Her late 80s So we took one trip to barn to hear him sing & then after her stroke we took a trip to Branson I had to tell him that the school house really is a blessing to the elderly also my mother watches it and just loves his music He’s a very gentle soul
Rory it’s so good to see you and I’ve been with you and Joey since the beginning ,saw you and Joey at the restaurant ,she was so sweet and waited on us and I was so excited to see her I forgot to get a picture with her and I wanted to cry but when we came back a few years later after Joey passed away well I meant I was going to get a picture of you Rory,well it was my sisters birthday and it was 5 sisters and my husband that drove us from Brownsville ,Tn so sweet of him but Rory I have a picture of all of us with you and I want to thank you ,my sister died of cancer in 2020 so the picture is special 🥰

Wow, it has been a long time since I was listening to Rory Feek and his family. God took an angel home Rory's wife it was a very sad day. The day Indy saw what it takes to process a chicken and the expressions on her face. Or watching Rory watch Indy going to school on her own and Rory peeking on her so she would make it to school. Time has passed and Indy is now 8 years old and going to be in third grade. I would have been upset if they did not have goats, but when Rory said little goat was born that makes the farm. The garden should have all the vegetables, but some people may not have time and that is okay. Imagine stepping out the back porch watching the sunset or sunrise. The colors all around and hearing the birds sing their songs for us to hear. Having the warm breeze wisp past our face and some may drift off as they close their eyes and think about the past. Simplicity at its best and so far, away. Watching Rory being interviewed reminded what is important, growing roses and the fragrance of each one. Being able to cut and give to someone to brighten their day. Or having to taste the first home grown tomato so juicy and awesome. Homesteading can mean many things to many different people, never heard to do something hard. That is something to think about and do, so Rory is getting the message out there about do for others as God wants us to, but for many there is too much negative and fear. Blessings to all.
To see the World through the eyes of child is so precious. Your daughter Indy is a blessing and no doubt she has helped you through rough times. You are a delightful man with a wonderful daughter. I totally agree that your wife is very present and always will be. Feel the same way.

Rory is absolutely an amazing individual and his story is nothing short of amazing too. And Rory my niece has downs and if only we could all live and see life the way they do. Children with downs see no evil only happiness and goodness in everyone and everything! They are naturals at living the kind of life that we strive to live and comes much harder for the rest of us.
The sweet spot was in the last five minutes. I have been searching for a new career for almost two months now with the goal of doing what God wants for me moving forward. Rory echoed the quote on my Bible bookmark, "Do what's right, not what's easy." It's time to be brave! Thank you for the reminder.

Yes! Indi is setting examples for all of us! I love that she has such a beautiful peaceful life! I believe that's the picture Joey must have had for her baby when she knew she was leaving this place. I think this little family is the epitome of what God wants for every family. Beautiful!

Such a delightful and refreshing interview. The peace that surpasses all understanding radiates from Rory. I especially liked when he asked you questions and you gave candid answers.
Sometimes it seems a challenge to balance bravery to challenge ourselves to new things with the wisdom to not sow on poor soil but if we first seek His Kingdom, wait on Jesus, listen, and obey, then we can have the peace that He is writing our story.
What a beautiful story, beautiful home and land, beautiful voices, beautiful looks in the entire family, and beautiful giftedness! Truly. While I enjoy seeing God's goodness and graciousness and loveliness in the lives of others (plus it's like a beautiful love story) I must remind myself that I and many others don't have loads of outward beauty in my physical appearance, home, property, etc. for various reasons. The underside of my weaving is so ugly that likely none envy me. [Christa, that poem is entitled "The Weaver"] Remember... Christ said, "The last shall be first". Paul must have been very ugly by scars and distortions from his numerous beatings and death and near death experiences. I don't think he every time had his bones set aright and wounds stitched by plastic surgeons when left for dead. It's important that if you're like me with not much to offer in the eyes of the world, you understand we're just as precious in the eyes of the Lord! He will turn our ashes into beauty! We ought to be thankful and faithful with what he has given each of us, be it 10 talents, 5 talents or only one. Then we will hear, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter ye into the joy of the LORD." In that day, that which was worked into us through trust and obedience to Him will be unveiled in us. Then shall we common folk be beautiful! 🥰

I remember joey asking me if I would buy their property so glad they made it through together...that was through the last recession... I miss my friend her legend and love still moves the hearts of people.

I enjoyed this interview immensely! Rory is a remarkable person! He's right about choosing to do difficult things----before I do attempt challenging tasks or migrate toward "hard" situations, I sit down and pray about what I am about to try! That helps me SO much! I realize before I try the "hard" things that I am not alone and that I can count on guidance and prompting from the Holy Spirit. It is empowering to trust that supernatural help is possible and than to actually experience it in surprising ways! Rory is a wonderful writer and singer of songs. Rory should write a book perhaps even in journal form. His wisdom about living should be shared! I'm enjoying my reading of one of Henry David Thoreau's journals. In his own way, he was a homesteader! He loved simple living!

I loved this interview! Yes, I have been following the story of Joey and Rory for many years now and seen both of them perform and almost a year ago, Rory perform. This interviewer stood out to me. I cried when she told the tapestry story even though I've heard it before and I had the sense that these two needed to be friends.
I’ve always loved watching his videos on his farm… I think he had an amazing vision but Joey really is the one that really pushed the amazing transformation of that property… it’s like god sent her to him to make a good life for Indy… and what an amazing man to build a school on his property and have other kids come in that will be life long friends with her… I think Joey knew Rory would need this Homestead to raise Indy… what a beautiful life she will have.
So beautiful! I pray if I pass first, my husband would take my passion and find joy in it and the beauty… and allow it to bring our family closer together. What a testimony.

I'm so glad that I happened upon this interview. I wouldn't have known the things that I learned today. I see how you and your family have stood together and fought the battle and you won. I believe that little Indy has only made life more for you and truly help everyone to grow.
This is so beautiful. I really admire Rory and the lifestyle that he is providing for his family. My family and I live on one acre and homestead and use every bit of it to produce food and create sustainability. We dream about a bigger homestead, but we’ve learned so much in the meantime and I’m learning to appreciate our little one acre.
I followed Joey and Rory for years, read his blogs then his RU-vid channel. My heart broke when Joey passed on, i fell in love with Indiana and watch everything about this family whenever it’s posted. If you haven’t seen To Joey with Love, you need too. My dream is to meet Indy one day.
I am always at peace whenever I listen to Rory. Whether it is in an interview, like this or him just talking about or reading about life. The ups and the downs.
