One unexplored gem ..Who was far better than Jimi Hendrix , Clapton ,Jimmy Page all together . As if all others with their talent rolled in one person . Best example of how marketing and not accepting typical commercial format of being famous make you reach less people . It's sad we see million views on crap videos and on Rory just few thousands .. people are just discovering him since few years n only one musician with least dislikes ..no one can escape from positive vibrations Rory emit out of passion for music and guitar .

I really appreciate Rory recording this song and also performing it in a lot of You Tube videos. I actually have made more royalties from Rory's version than Muddy's version. I wrote the song originally in 1964 as "My Girl Ran Off With The Garbage Man", but the record label wanted it changed to just "Garbage Man" and they were right.

i always was a fan of Hendrix but lately i deepened me in Rory's oeuvre and must admit that he is by far the better musician as Hendrix once stated.

Ya, lota peple say that, and I think they’re rite. Was able to see him in concert a few times in Germany, smoked evry time. Live performances were spot on, wich is wut he’s known for.

This was his best band, Rod D'Ath, Gerry McAvoy, and Lou Martin

Saw him in the fall of ‘75. He opened for ZZ Top. I was 14 and worked my way to the first row (general admin tickets). I was left completely amazed at his play. ZZ was good (Fandango), but not as “wow” as Rory. RIP 🤘🏻

I found an old 8 track tape. I thought it was Rush 2112, thats what it says on the tape but theres this live band doing all these really good Muddy Waters covers. But I can't figure out who it is. Sounds like it was recorded off a record, you can hear the pops. The singer almost sounds like James brown but he's really belting it out. Its good 70's Heavy rock/ blues.

In most cases the drummer exerts the most energy because of the physicality of the instrument. Rod D’ath is awesome but with his band mates he looks relaxed. Lou Martin( neck contortions) Gerry McAvoy( attack and stance) and of course Rorys’ guitar, vocals and commitment to leave it all on the stage. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

On some LZep live vid, the fanboys were all slobbering over Page as BEST EVER and I had the audacity to comment that perhaps RORY GALLAGHER was more purely the better guitarist...WELL, a YT 5h1tstorm ensued as that thread was lit up by bruised middle-schoolers who trolled that comment about my egregious lack of knowledge and HOW DARE I question the great Jimmy Page. HAH! I merely pointed to Live Aid 1985 and anything after Physical Graffiti. OH! the mewling and gnashing of their music identities which quailed and curdled all the more. Most will just never get the blues soul and over-whelming technique of a lifetime Rory possessed. RORY ! RORY !! RORY !!!
