My favorite rendition of this melancholy tune . I think it would have been neat if Rory could have teamed up with The Pogues or The Dubliners for a lyrical take on this one .

Yep, l’ve had the Phil Coulter album for yonx. It’s RORY ALRIGHT. Most people have NOOOO IDEA how many albums he played on. Check out Mike Battts Tarot Suite. He only plays a few bars; but here in Ozstralya, they knocked it off, & said Kevin Borich wrote it. He didn’t, but he played it as there theme song in the 70’s. ( a radio station) that is. 🙄. Miles of RORY hidden away in tracks.... THE GREATEST. 🎸💚👑💞☘️🇦🇺

@@johnoregan6312 He certainly did. He actually formed a ‘two out’ when he was about 9, & got Donal to play a ‘drum beat’ with a board and stick. 😅They played in their grandparents pub. RORY ‘sacked’ Donal after the first night…. They had a weird ‘band’ name too… 🤔 The Muffs…. Not sure. I’ll go back to my thousands of lp’s , books etc… 😆 Now it’s bugging me!! RORY, my DARLIN, you were such a beautiful, funny, brilliant loner. I get it. Wot l wooda given to play with him. I’d be so nervous, l’d have the greatest vibrato ever!!! NO ONE COMES NEAR HIM. NEVER! ( my opinion as a music teacher & band gal with my GENUINE 1963LSeries STRAT. Not being a smart arse, coz other musos can be pissed orf with me. Don’t give a rats wot’knockers’ think. 🤣🤣🤣🎸🎹

I have just about every Rory Gallagher album myself, except the BBC sessions and some of the new stuff that they've released since his passing.. I had never heard this song before and now I'm just wondering if there are any other songs where Rory Gallagher has played/sung as a guest artist.

So so beautiful.. Rory sensitive true Irishman in every way.. In every heartfelt note. There are no earthly words that can describe the beauty of this .. The only one that comes to my mind is.. RORY. XO
