I agree with Rory about Disasi, a slow moving man mountain. I also think that Chelsea were fortunate in their last 5 games to play teams like West Ham (on the beach waiting for a new manager), Forest (who were in party mode having escaped relegation), Spurs (players no longer doing what the manager wanted) and Brighton (form so poor in the last couple of months and little to play for).

Rory is a tragic little man who will not be happy with anyone unless their called jose mourinho.

We have a team of 20 year olds trying to live up to monster price tags, adapting to a demanding league with a new manager trying to bring in his own brand of football whilst dealing with a lot of injuries. Our season went exactly as it was meant to go and the fact we ended up in European positions compared to below mid table is down to Poch. We went 12-5-3 in our last 20 games and had one of the worst injury lists in the league. His insight is as if he reckons our team of majority new and young signings (and injuries to key 1st team players) would somehow have us challenging for top 4. All the real fans knew this season was going to be painful. The fact we got Europe and finished above Man Utd after spending most of the season bottom 10 is literal progress.

People seem to have amnesia when it comes to Poch and Chelsea. 4th most points since boxing day, yet every pundit keeps saying how their form just started to pick up at the end of the season. And sure the Arsenal defeat was bad, but to say that one result shows how far off we are when we drew with them earlier in the season and drew twice with City is laughable.

Some of Rory’s takes are shocking and really inaccurate. For example the moment chalobah became fully fit again he was straight in the line up. Plus it’s not a coincidence that when the squad became less of a hospital patient list, results picked up. Chelsea had in total 54 separate injuries players missed a total of 300+ games collectively. The nearest was 38 injuries Newcastle. 19 points better off this season than last. Yes poch made mistakes but pep made mistakes in his first season at city (yes I know poch isn’t pep) Good cup runs too. Has improved a number of players for example cucurella is an animal atm, chalobah is looking good. Palmer, Nicolas Jackson has improved immensely in the last half a season. Honestly one or two smart additions, Chelsea will be top 4

He ain't far wrong, but he has been more proactive with shape changes. Diasi is cumbersome but he has had some superb performances notably Mam City Away. Badiashile is a prolific own goal scorer, usually from poor body shape. Lackadaisical playing out he has been worse in my opinion. The defensive problems were from poor midfield screening and our vulnerabilities in transition.
