This is like watching a train wreck in slow motion. Paris is standing there with literally the keys to her successful career and Rory is focused on box of knick knacks like she's still in highschool.
👑 Despite Paris was somewhat toxic & too much to handle, she was a great character! This scene depicts the exact reason why during the revival she had success in her career & why Rory got stuck in her life . Even thought Paris had wealthy parents, she kept persevering to achieve her goals & to open her professional doors by hard working, nothing else. Paris used to pushed herself & Rory to horn their skills & it was so disappointing how Rory, even Lorelai used to diminish Paris by only taking her as the crazy authoritarian roomie. Its even sadder how Paris acknowledged Rory as her best friend on different episodes & Rory still kept calling her a peer. Anyhow, I was happy to see during the reboot the payoffs of her work when she becomes an outstanding doctor. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Facts. The show tried to put us Rory as the best and successful person and actually Paris always was the best in everything. Even I think they wanted to Paris didn't get into Harvard bc that will prove that Paris always was Paris.
@Cristina Aguilar Rodríguez I think they did Paris a disservice by not letting her go to Harvard and making her freak out in the interview. She still could have been a very big part of Rorys life. They could have talked on their computers with webcams and so forth. I know it wouldn’t have been the same. They would no longer be rivals. So maybe they could have had her choose Yale anyway because she got offered a full scholarship at Yale or something. I don’t remember what Paris’s parents did for a living. Maybe they experienced financial hardship and she had to take the scholarship. Harvard is more intense than Yale. The writers wanted to improve Rorys social life and have her do crazy things to keep things interesting. I went to high school with a guy that went wild at Harvard and had to drop out because his parents said they weren’t paying the tuition with his pathetic grades. I am so glad I never went to an Ivy League school. Way too much pressure. I went to a college prep school for seven years. That was bad enough. Rorys experience at chilton was similar to mine. Minus the hot English teacher hitting on my mom part. Lol That’s why I prefer the chilton years.
Paris is 💯% correct, tailor make you resume for what ever job your applying to...I learned this late but got a great IT job, and I have mediocre experience in computer programming...I do basic stuff, Now I him hitting 90k a year lmao
Paris reminds me of a girl I used to be friends with in high school... She really ruined my high school experience... Really regret hanging out with her.
I never got why Logan became the one. Was it his money? Or his family's money? His good looks? He was not that trustworthy. He cheated on her. Maybe they were alike in that regard. Dean and Jess had their flaws also. But she is stuck on Logan and has a relationship in spite of his engagement. Maybe it's Rory I don't get. Ends up broke and no job. No residence. This is the goals she set? Weird.
Everyone cant be perfectvall the time. And havent you been with soneone who is the onky for you. I doubt that Rory really cares aout the money or his family.
@@lauriecarson6483 no, I have not . If someone cheats on me, I no longer am interested. Perfect has nothing to do with it. We ALL have flaws. Cheating is not just a flaw, it's a CHOICE. AND when you make the same choice multiple times, without a favorable outcome, it seems you would learn from it. Getting an education isn't all there is to life or living. Those who don't have financial resources earn their way ,even if they do things they don't like. Her dream did not work out because she HAD money. We all have to earn money ,so it is important She didn't even show up at interviews prepared. So. No job, NO MONEY. She is also in denial that she isn't back in Stars Hollow. That's what no money will get you. And she's pregnant so money IS important. Is it Logan's? Maybe that's why she is still with him. Is Logan the reason for her failure? Is it Lorelai's? Or EMILY'S? RORY was GIVEN everything to succeed. She didn't have to earn it. I think that is why she failed. Just an opinion.
@@nightwolf48nm Ok. If he was really into her, and was in love with her, then he would probably not sleep with anyone else. But as it turned out, he is engaged with someone and she still sleeps with him. Is it a symbiotic or parasitic relationship? For me it is hard to tell. It doesn't seem like LOVE either way. I couldn't do it. But , I am me.
@@idfy2599 You can't judge the meaning/intention of the writing now with the revival. The revival had different writers with different interpretations of the relationship that was considered to be a huge misstep with not only Rory and Logan but most characters in Gilmore Girls.
