While I understand that this scene is informed by the fact that Lorelai and Christopher almost FINALLY got together before Gigi's existence was discovered, I am still forever confused at why the show treats Christopher like a deadbeat who was wanted in Rory's life but never accepted that invitation. Lorelai held him at arm's length from the moment she learned she was pregnant, and now has the gall to seem jealous, as if Gigi is getting everything Rory should have had from the word 'go'. Are we expected to forget that Lorelai actively worked to keep Rory's father from being a presence in her life? That she rejected all help, all input, all efforts from anybody but her to be there for Rory for the first decade and a half of life?

STUPID Storyline! This is about the time I stopped watching! After everything she went through in life and 0:02 she goes back to that jerk! Horrible writing!

And this was the episode that made me leave the series and never come back, and to this day I hate Lorelai with a consuming passion. Before the stoning begins, I am not from the USA, and at the time I was watching this, I was in high school, and a girl from school got pregnant, her parents threw her out and she ended up living with many people before disappear complete, I still don't know what happened to her. It made me so sad and angry, also, I was going to a private school, and my parent paid with so much effort, sometimes working double shifts. And here is Lorerai, leaving her home because her parents and their money are evil, so she would live in a shack with her daughter until the moment her parents' money is ok again, she is fake, and an idiot.
