Rather explains why he had to be stopped from being PM. Honest, brave and with a frightening amount of integrity. If he was PM something sensible might be achieved and the self serving deadheads in the government might be held accountable....and dispensed with.

I have a hero, Rory Stewart, and simply love his stories and the way he has lived his life thus far. He is a beautiful person in all ways, this from an 80 year old woman who loves character and courage in another, the kind that I do not myself possess, but which I recognize in others. Rory is at t he top of that heap! READ HIS BOOKS!

Mr. Rory Stewart looks exhausted and was too nice to let the interviewer know this. The interviewer should have done the interview later and by phone- Skype - if he really wanted to capture Rory in video. Get some zzzzz Rory!

The reptile bit is wrong but it is true that he was on the official list of the 2011 Bilderberg attendees. It's how I came about watching and reading about him. As someone from the UK, I noticed his name in the Great Britain section of the list and thought - 'who is this guy?'. Turns out he seems quite OK so far. He's done a lot in his life - academically, professionally, philanthropically etc - he's actually an inspiration, so far.

Wonderful stuff. What is the third book he mentions that Lawrence carried (after 'The Iliad' and 'Le Morte d'Arthur') ?? Am sure it's a classic of classics.

Aristophanes, Comoediae accedunt perditarum fabularum fragmenta ex rec. G. Dindorfii, Vol. I (Oxford, Typ. Academ, 1835). The Clouds Hill copy was inscribed: 'T.E.L. Oxford 1914. He is beautiful to many of us who see more than physical beauty.....he has the most beautiful smile and he it totally without pretense, very humble. I love to see him when he gives a talk on youtube or wherever I find him. His beauty comes from his intelligence and personality.
