The very best moments of Beaky, The Nose, Stupid Face, My Pond AKA Rory Williams. If you have any ideas for future DW videos let me know! #DoctorWho #RoryWilliams
@@NebyWitch That was my favorite part also. I have to *hand* it to the actor who gave a halfhearted American style salute in return. He sold the scene as well as Rory's actor did.
@ nope it was in season six episode nine Night terrors where doc finds a boy in need of his help who is terrified of what in his closet. Meanwhile Amy and Rory gets stuck in an elevator which falls then Rory says that line.
Mathew Flores yeah, they've died more than comic book superheroes. How weird is your life when you can say: You're going to die! Been there, done that.
Someone wrote an adorable fanfic depicting that scene. I need to try find it again. Only trouble is I think it was part of a drabble series so in a chapter somewhere as opposed to a single fic 🤔
And put him in the cupboard. Well, i liked the part where Rory just punched the Doctor - there is a very few creature who was able to pull of similar things without it coming back to them in some form. (Even if when other creatures did something aggressive against the Doctor, they usually aimed for his life, and Rory was only used it to reinforce his arguments.)
Amy doesn't deserve Rory at times. Rory: **wholeheartedly believes not telling his Fiancée he loves her for seven hours (of night) is scandalous** Amy: yeah I'm gonna run off with my kinda attractive imaginary not imaginary friend. On the night before my wedding. Also almost died so I kissed him. Like lol.
@@omersharon7847 Amy might have had to wait 14 years to meet The Doctor again but Rory waited 2000 years for her when she had to be locked up in the Pandorica to keep her alive
While I do somewhat agree with the original statement that Amy doesn't really deserve Rory, let's be real, Rory was drunk when he called Amy about the seven hour thing
@@JG-vh1xc this is a RU-vid comments section, not a forum for requests or selective responses to a questionnaire, I may post whatever I like, as you have. I didn't ask for your opinion either, and yet here you are.
My favorite companion. Would have dearly loved for him to have had an episode where he was the “main” and got more attention. But he was close, main credits with Doc and Amy, was just marketed less. You can’t truly have Amy without Rory, that was the design and they pulled that off. The kindest heart with a fierce protective streak.
I love the scene where the eyepatch they used to see the silence activated and he just stood there unaffected like a badass. Rory: I’ll wait down here, ma’am. Buy you as much time as I can. Amy: You have to take your iDrive off. Rory: Can’t do that, ma’am. I’ll forget what’s coming. Amy: But it could activate any second. Rory: It has activated, ma’am.
And centuries later, Rip Hunter was born, and unbeknown to him he was a long-lost relation to Rory Williams, one of the most important and bad-ass time travellers of all time! (Well, we don't know he's an only child, do we?)
I just like to think Rory got the knowledge of Time like what Donna got before she stopped being the Companion, except he was able to accept this knowledge and became a time lord eventually :p
1:18 and 4:37 are my favourite. Rory needs more appreciation tbh Edit: in response to some of the comments, yes Martha definitely gets less appreciation. She is actually my favourite companion so I get what you mean. I’m just saying Rory cause it’s more relevant to the video.
He's definitely my favorite companion. The episode with the Living Flesh is what did it. He's the only person, aside from the Doctor, who believes in peace between Flesh and Humans, and treats them with compassion and respect, even when they try to kill him. Fitting that he is the only companion in the medical profession.
James Darnell Martha doesn’t get a lot of love because even though her character was pretty good hey storyline was not. In her season she was playing the “I love the doctor but he doesn’t notice me 😢” I liked her though.
@@jamesdarnell8568 Oh yeah. I always think of her as working for UNIT, in which they never show her really doing anything medical. Always makes me forget that first season with her. With Rory, there are constant references to him being a nurse.
4:00 the apulapucia scene is great but there was one time where my television glitched and replayed that scene for 20 minutes and now I can't hear it without wanting to cry
Rory telling the man at 3:23 that the injection won't hurt, then saying "I lied" afterwards is an echo to River doing the same thing to Amy in the "The Time of Angels" episode earlier in the season. Like father like daughter...:)
Lowell Smith, they are compelling. But not truly modern. Any Pond became a companion in 2010. Rory was, what one or two episodes after that?, or heck was it the same one? I started watching dr who when the Afro scarf guy was the doctor. I can’t remember if it was the late 70’s or the early 80’s. I’m thinking 70’s. Because we only had like 5 channels of tv, cbs, nbc, abc ( vhf-very high frequency) or the ulf (ultra low frequency’s) and living in Detroit (a river width between Windsor) we got Canida’s tv the CBC, all on ulf. Benny Hill, cell block 9, the tomorrow people, and all of Dr. Who. But I digress. Amy and Rory where the show when they were on, they made the doctor a secondary character ( which he was very OK with, I kind of imagine). And this story line really makes me ( fear the concept) fear the Weeping Angles. I cried on the last episode with Amy and Rory. Enough said...
There has been no “companion” better than Rory Williams - he deserves so much - I’d honestly sacrifice myself for this man. Sorry Doctor, but Rory is where it’s at
Rory is definitely my favourite Dr Who character. He had the best character arc, going from weak cry baby character to actually standing up for himself and having some great moments. He's also one of the most relatable characters in a show about time travel and space adventures.
