Thank you, guys!! She didn't go solo tho. All 4 members of BlackPink have the freedom to release solo music, but they're still a group.

Jennie is the first member who released her solo last 2018 with the song titled 'SOLO'. It's lit too! Then followed by Rosé. YG, their company, also mentioned that Lisa (I think it's coming very soon) and Jisoo's solo will follow too. But they are still intact as a group. They are just doing individual projects. They all speak English, but Rosé (born in NZ and raised in Australia so English is her first language) , Jennie and Lisa speak fluently. Jisoo is learning but she can understand and speak it too. Rosé wrote this song a few years back and was just released now. Gone and On The Ground are both personal, based on her story and experience which fit her most. They were both written so beautifully and the videos added more justice and meaning. Thank you so much for reacting to both of her songs! ❤

Rosé's first language is English but jennie is fluent in English as well and lived in NZ for 5 years. Lisa can also speak English but Rosé and Jennie are kind of the designated English speakers. Jisoo was the only member that raised in Korea all her life, so she isn't as fluent but she is much better in other languages like Japanese and Chinese.

Its quite normal for members from groups to do solo projects and still be active in their group In blackpink so far, jennie and rosé have solo songs but the company says that the other girls will get their solos as well In bts, all bts members have solo work Suga even produces for other artists

All Blackpink members can speak and understand english it's just that Rosé is an english native speaker because she's a kiwi-korean, a New Zealand born but raised and moved in Australia when she was 7. Lisa is from Thailand but also fluent in english same with Jennie who was born in Korea but studied in New Zealand in middle school for 5 years. And Jisoo who was born and raised in Korea but can understand english well and can speak a bit in english. And it's rare in Kpop group that all members can speak english because Koreans don't speak and can understand english that much.

Actually all of them has some English lines in their songs but rose , Jennie nd lisa are fluent in English

7:49 nope. Like Japan, Korea is pretty homogeneous. That's why a lot of Koreans go to other countries like the US or the Philippines to learn English. It's not taught to them in Korea. In countries like the Philippines or Thailand, English is pretty much taught since preschool. BLACKPINK is one of Kpop's most multilingual groups. They're actually pretty rare. Lisa is Thai and was taught English formally in school. Jennie studied in New Zealand. Rosé grew up in New Zealand. Jisoo is the only one born and raised in Korea and thus is the only one in the group not fluent in English. But what's even more impressive is that not only do they all speak Korean and English (and again all fluently except for Jisoo in English), they also speak Japanese and Basic Chinese. Lisa also speaks Thai, her native language. Rosé has 2 native languages, English and Korean. She speaks both in the same fluency but she's a bit out of touch with Korea culture-wise since she grew up in Australia and only really went in Korea in her early years to visit her relatives.
