This man is fantastic. I've had no idea about ROS 45 minutes ago and now I can get an overview of someones project and monitor the system once they start it up. This is so SICK! Thank you!
Will you make a tutorial about how would we do a "RQT GUI" to control our robot/drone/turtlesim or prepare a QT Creator with ROS to control our robot/drone/turtlesim? thank you. I couldn't find any solid tutorials for the recent versions in Melodic and even Noetic, otherwise they are all shown for indigo, kinetic, groovy etc old ROS and Ubuntu versions. It should be appreciated, I look forward hearing from you, thank you very much. I really enjoy your videos too.
Covering that topic is not currently in the works, but we appreciate the interest. RQT has not changed significantly in the last few versions of ROS 1, so those older tutorials should still work. If you're running into a specific problem with one of those older tutorials, we might be able to help or you might be able to find the answer at answers.ros.org/
Nice tutorial friendi good job. I am getting an error like this, do you know how to fix it? thank you. When I type rqt_ I receive this error: rqt_: command not found However, when I checked the /opt/ros/melodic/share/ and every files exist there already.
If you are trying to launch rqt, the command would just be "rqt". If you are trying to launch a specific plugin, you would have to add the plugin name after the underscore (ie. rqt_image_view). To see what plugin shortcuts are available, you can type "rqt_" and press the tab key to show the options. This is known as "tab completion" in terminals.
