I was a mono in 1977 when I heard this song. Can repeatedly listen to it a whole day. A very nice song, I love it though I don't understand the meaning & language. Pure Kenyan song.
Fanuel Amimo....one of the stars when Artists from Ingoland ruled the roost..... sadly this era of amazing creativity seems to have faded away in a manner reminiscent of that of their Lake shore neighbours with their Benga genre!!
Oh My God!!! Fanuel Amimo you take me to a place no one else has!! This song takes me back to my days at Chekalini primary school 28 years back going to school after Anunda Sakwa playing it on KBC. Kudos omukhulundu
I thank the Almighty God for keeping me alive. This is my favorite Luhya song. Why lie, Amimo, i swear you will kill me one day with this song!!!! I remember the late 80s with a lot of nostalgia!!!!!!

The whole album was mambo yote. By the way huu wimbo ninafikiri ulitolewa in 70's. Ninakumbuka salemen wa medicines walikuwa wakukatika huu wimbo wakiuza medicines huko Kapsabet. Unaweza kuload the rest of the albums.
As kids we used to listen to these kind of music and we would argue amongst ourselves who, among the musicians in Kenya at the was the best? We unanimously agreed that George Mukabi was no 1; Peter Akwabi no 2; Fanuel Amimo no 3 and Brown Amukhoya no 4. We may have been right or wrong.
