I decided to give my own take on the translation, just what feels more natural to me. I get scared of when you go out, smiling out in the street, because everyone can see, the lil' dimples on your face . ...and of the air when it passes, when it flows through your hair and the gold that dresses you, for clinging to your neck . And the sky and the moon, that you gaze at even the water that you drink, when it touches your lips. I think about your piercing gaze, it's like a bullet to the chest x7 I think about your gaze , I think about your gaze. I get scared of when you go out, smiling out in the street, because everyone can see, the lil' dimples on your face x2 So pretty that its threatening, and when you go quiet, it scares me. As cold as the snow that falls from the sky . When you go out the door, I think you might never come back , and if I don't hold you tight, it would feel as if it was my fault . I think about your piercing gaze, it's like a bullet to the chest x7 I think about your gaze, I think about your gaze. I get scared of when you go out, smiling out in the street, because everyone can see, the lil dimples on your face. x2

While I second Aisho's suggestion, I think your translation was very nice and idiomatic. Good job!

Very interesting conversation and thanks for getting it going! I think "Clava" means, literally, "nailed", so my sense of the translation would be something like "Thinking how you nail me with your look, is like a bullet to the chest"... tal vez....

the entire album is actually based on a spanish book of the 13th century called "Flamenca". That´s why each song is named as "Chapter...". This one is sung from the perspective of the main character´s husband.

This song is sung from the point of view of her toxic couple. The entire lyric is what he thinks. That's why the title of the song is "celos", means "jealousy". The entire album is about toxic relationships.
@angelesdelprato
@angelesdelprato 5 лет назад
@m.l.antonellavacaflorestor8807
All her album it´s based on a book about a marriage in wich the husband is possessive and very jealous, also that´s why Rosalia´s songs have the name of chapters in addition to the titles, In this song she is talking in the place of the husband. I hope I´ve helped and I´m sorry for my writen my english is not very good.

*Finally someone that made a decent translation of the song.* You deserve more views and likes for sure. It's so frustrating watching English speakers that don't understand a shit of Spanish and they are still reacting to the song. I hope they stop with their nonsenses and watch this video along with the official one; So at least they can understand something about what's going on. I even watched a black dude reaction where he was dancing to it, moving the arms like crazy. Like this was some pop shit song... Frustrating.

its sad because I primarily speak english but just by hearing her sounds ans feeling the music along with my limited understanding I can pull deep meaning from the concept of the lyrics in this song. yet others jump to seeing it negatively

@soyjuan8877
@soyjuan8877 4 года назад
@aisho894
@aisho894 4 года назад
@soyjuan8877
@soyjuan8877 4 года назад
@MrRockleyend
@MrRockleyend 3 года назад
