Music by: Stephen Flaherty Lyrics by: Lynn Ahrens From: Seussical: The Musical Filmed and Recorded at: The Green Room Studio NYC www.thegreenroomstudionyc.com
This is such an incredible cover of this song. Whilst vocally it may not be the hardest,it is certainly very difficult expressively speaking. You aced this. Haven't heard or seen a version this good anywhere! Well done!
WOW I keep coming back to this! You have the loveliest voice, and I look up to you as a performer so much! You hit those high notes perfectly, and that tweet blew me away, even though it is a little thing. This is by far the best "Notice Me, Horton" I've seen. You truly inspire me so much. Thank you! Love, love, loved this! Keeping doing what you do, because you are literally perfect at it!♥
i'm currently playing Gertrude in Seussical, and your voice is certainly much better than mine and than most of my cast mates, you're such an inspiration, i guarantee you'll make it to broadway! lots of love, Alison Lavardly
Oh, notice me, Horton Put down the clover! This is your next door neighbor calling. There's a new leaf Your neighbor's turned over I was just a no one only yesterday. You showed up and showed me something more. Now I've become a someone Who has someone to believe in And to be there for...
I WAS JUST A NO ONE ONLY YESTERDAYYYYY YOU SHOWED UP AND SHOWED ME SOMETHING MOOOOORREEE NOW IVE BECOME A SOMEONE WHO HAS SOMEONE TO BELIEVE IN AND TO BEEEEE THERRREEEEE FOOOOOORRRRRRRR...I will not give up hope.. I was hooked from the start when I noticed your kind and your powerful heart so notice me Hortonnnnn notice me Hortonnnn notice me Hortonnnn the wayy I notice yooouuuuuu....
This is such a different interpretation to what I've been seeing elsewhere (lots of belting on the stage is what I've seen from any Gertrude who is really capable of singing), but you have such a wonderful lyrical voice and the interpretation was just beautiful! This is so refreshing to see, having auditions for Seussical coming up. Could you please do "All for You"? I'd love to hear how that sounds on your voice!
Its taken all my courage to approach you not to mention all my stamina to follow across the hills and deserts. But I feel as if I'm ready to confess to you the feelings that I've hidden with great diligence and labor... Behind the facade of your odd little next door neighbor. My eyes are too small. I have very large feet. And I'm not very proud of my pitiful TwEeT. But I've now got a tail that is something to see... Oh notice me Horton feather by feather. This is your next door neighbor calling! Notice me Horton, Horton together, we could be great... Oh notice me Horton put down the clover! This is your next door neighbor calling! There's a new leaf your neighbors turned over. I was just a no one only yesterday. You showed up and showed me something more... Now I've become a someone who has someone to believe in and to be there for... I will not give up hope. I was hooked from the start. When I noticed your kind and powerful heart So notice me Horton... Notice me Horton... Notice me Horton.......the way ...I notice....... Youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
I know it sounds a little materialistic, but I'd pay money to watch you sing (not that I have much money, but I'd know which performance I'd go to, especially if you were performing). Each character I've seen you do in this studio is so different and mesmerizingly lovable. It's like every choice is made first with your eyes and everything else pours out. Anyway, all believably amazing. I know this is an older video, but as a fellow singer and performer, I take my feathered hat off to you.
This has helped me so much! I am audtioning for Seussical on Saturday! You have a beautiful voice 🤗 I love how you got into character at the beginning👌 Keep on singing!!
I thought I already left a comment about how incredible you are, but I can't find it, so I'm making sure that I don't make that mistake again by saying it now. This is a phenomenal cover of one of my favorite underrated songs of all time!
Ms Graziano: might I offer your visit the roaring 20's/30s music of the "Annie" and Daddy WarBucks movie of times from around the 1920's /1930s when our country had prosperity then depression suffering to follow.. those tunes might resonate to us now in your updated version of an adult Annie.. We are in a next roaring 20's following the Spanish Flue of 1918-1919 that was far worse.. It might give your listener HOPE.. Your red hair reminded me of Annie... from cartoons and the Movie, My best,
