Your dreamy Dream Land rose climbing is stunning; and I love it's exuberant shape, too! Like you, I wouldn't be able to prune the cane and sacrifice all those gorgeous blooms either. As an artist, I'm drawn to unique shapes rather prim and proper. Have you ever grown climbing roses and clematis together on an arch or trellis? It is a gorgeous combo, especially with large clematis and rose blooms.
29:08: I feel the same way as you and agree with everything you said about vegetable gardening. I think you should plant what makes you happy in your garden. Roses are also my absolute heaven on earth. I really enjoyed your video !
Love your garden and your roses are looking great! Dreamland and the Impressionist are absolutely beautiful! I have State of Grace as well and unfortunately it’s a black spot magnet for me also.
I love your garden. I have about 20 roses, but most of them were just planted last summer/fall. So, i haven't really gotten to experience them yet, and they are still fairly small. I'm so excited for this year! I'm in zone 5, so im pretty far behind you in the season. Also, just wanted to mention that ( when you were talking about the Empress Wu hosta), I think she needs a lot of water if you want her to grow to her full potential. And probably like you said, competition from that other hosta that was next to it may be the issue.
Your garden is absolutely beautiful. I have 8 colette roses they are in full sun all day long, and are beautiful. I know Laura on Garden Answer says they take alot of sun to have a full arbor. Keep the videos coming, best show for roses
Everything is coming along, just wonderful 😊 I get what you are saying about the David Austin roses. All my new ones have the white powdered mildew, but I still love them. ❤️
I managed to source Colette/John Keats in the UK. Only received it this week. It's very small at present but just glad to get it! Your Garden looks lovely.
