I wonder if this is what we will see with Weili tomorrow night. She is a crisper, even more explosive and powerful version of Andrade. If she drags Rose into deep water (pardon that stale idiom) it could be tough for Rose to fight her way out of it
@@larrycera1943 I think if zhang mixes in body shots, wrestling, and leg kicks. She can probably gas out rose and probably tko her in the 4th or 5th. Rose is the most dangerous in the first two rounds tho so lets see how it plays out
@@firstnamelastname-ko3ge barely beat her in the 2nd fight lol, she ain't nobody's mother. She had to rely on lay and pray to win cus she was getting tooled on the feet
Truly a great role model. She put My two children to sleep and they suffer from insomnia in her last fight. Thank you rose, thank you Esparza. It takes 2 to tango, in this case, it took two to make my two children to go to bed.
Not both, Andrada is a wild swinger that just comes forward and swing wildly, with not much of skills. Rose is the skill one and if you saw that first fight before that piledrive came, Rose was literally eating her alive with skills and precision punching and Andrada couldn't even touch her. Some people just make bad matches and Andrada was that for Rose.
@@Nightmare-xx4gv Yep. She is (however it came about) practical male, and is enormously strong for that weight class. All she has to do is just swing until she connects. A few of those can be enough to start the end game. The only thing she's done of late is suddenly discover head movement, so she no longer just rushes forward like a punching bag (like against Joanna.) That of course is a significant improvement, but she's not that skilled overall. And of course she herself has a head made of granite. Against someone with really good movement like Rose, her strategy is just pressure her so much that she never gets to use that movement, but that was only partially successful here.
It's not just her striking that's fluid, did you see that flying knee that missed but rolled into some Kung fu Matrix shit?! Rose is the real deal. From everything she's ever said in public I feel like this is just a job and I hope she is able to retire Uber wealthy soon, spend her days in meditation on a beach.
@@yeahboy9585 Also, some fighters go way up to meet weight, and some go down in weight. A fighter that slims down to meet weight is going to be hydrated and heavier, usually, the time of the fight. Rose looks like a fighter that might struggle to keep weight on. 🤷🏻♂️
@@dawolyan13 Thank you for the information. It would seem that a heavier fighter can lose weight, weigh in, go home and est well and come into the fight with a definite weight advantage. Doesn't seem fair to me. Weigh in the day of the fight would be better.
@@aaronwalker2867 his logic be like andrade was already taking over by the 3rd round, now that rose is champ that would be a 5 rounder, if this one lasted 2 more rounds rose was dead. Oh and andrade beat rose once already.
I wouldn't say this performance against andrade was roses best. She rarely is at her best when fighting but if rose believes in herself more she can do even better against andrade were they to fight again
This is a prime example of why damage needs to be factored into judges decisions. Andrade did way more damage and lost a decision because Rose did what? Skip around the octagon and control the distance. Andrade pressed the action the whole fight. Namajunes got a gift decision.
Damage is too subjective and dependant on too many factors outside the fighters control. Fighters like nate Diaz split open when the wind blows while fighters like bj Penn could take a hammer to the face and barely bleed. The strength of shots landed should be counted but not physical damage. For example if someone is just landing jabs and quick punches while their opponent lands less punches but they're powerful and rock the opponent then they should score more points than the weak punches.
@@thorCast To accurately judge a fight with damage as a heavily weighted criteria you just need educated judges. Getting cut doesn't necessarily mean a fighter was hurt. But if fighter A drops their opponent 3 times in the first minute of the round but then fighter B gets a takedown and holds position for the remaining 4 minutes with the way scoring is set up fighter B could still get the round for takedown and octagon control for the majority of the round. Jessica Andrade pushed the pace this whole fight. When she landed she did damage but Rose controlled the distance with foot work and used her jab. Just controlling distance but never landing any meaningful offense shouldn't generate a decision win
no, That perfect form of the hook from Rose kept that over hand at bay and it missed, Rose just has so much pop in her hips with her punches that jessica hitting her arm maid it look like she got hit in actual speed
Look at the damage Andrade made... you can be as technically skilled as you want but if your techique doesn't do damage, its useless ... that's why, to me this was a totally unfair decision.
I agree in terms of a fight, Andrade won. In terms of sport with points and rounds/timelimit I can see it for Rose. I always think about who would win if the fight kept going and I think Andrade would have broken Rose on this night.
Truly a great role model. She put My two children to sleep and they suffer from insomnia in her last fight. Thank you rose, thank you Esparza. It takes 2 to tango, in this case, it took two to make my two children to go to bed.
Rose definitely won that fight but doubt she would have lasted if it went 5 rounds. Andrade hits hard, maybe a little *too* hard for 115, I am definitely side eyeing some of these Brazilian fighters wondering what they are putting in the water down there ;)
Because you don't score fights strictly on damage. Andrade probably does win that fight if its a 5 rounder but Rose won the first two rounds handily in my opinion then slowed down.
Esporte corrompido. Pelos melhores momentos é possível ver como Jessica ganhou. Olhando a cara da carequinha mais ainda se vê como a br ganhou...eu não acredito mais em esportes. Tudo por dinheiro e apostas e nada mais.
@@videogamers2136 you don’t win the fight eating punches on the ground, they’re both very skilled so ofc she didn’t get finished but she just ate lunches and damage did a number on here . 1 1/2 more rounds of that and she would’ve been ko’d. other girl had zero damage on here even after just a couple bruises lol. if that bruise kept getting hit on rose it would’ve ruptured ending the fight
Rose is the best straw weight in the world 🌎 beating the most dangerous straw weights in the world twice in joanna and wei... but Andrade has always been her worst match up.. in both fights regardless of the outcome Rose took a severe beating in both fights.
Andrade is a good and strong fighter she doesn't have any lacking in skill I think but what she is lacking I think is how she used her skills and tactics in the opponent she's a beast no doubt if she used the skill properly becoz she is strong and got a heavy hand she only tries to rely on that which is bad specially if her opponent is a highly skilled like rose, in their first fight she wins becoz rose got mistakes when rose not let loose herself to Andrade when she lifted her. That's why she loose the belt on Zhang but in this fight it shows how really she improves but still it shows how she prioritized her power when she's on fight if she just let it loose and focuses on skill and brain she will be one of the best becoz her power and strenght is already there if only Joana has a heavy hand and strong kick she might be still the champ but too bad that is what she is lacking unlike rose who's kinda like Joanna she has got a power on kicks and hands though not that heavy but still capable of defeating opponents when it lands clean. Still goosebumps when I watch Joanna and Zhang fight both skilled fighter but Zhang has the advantage becoz of her heavy hands if Joanna has power she will like rose in UFC 261 I think
okay? don’t act like rose didn’t land all those hits to andrades face, she just doesn’t swell like rose. and have u even looked at the other roundssssss
I don't love the 'damage trumps all' perspective a lot of people have here. It's so general. Some people like GSP or Nate cut like wet tissue paper while others like Benson Henderson barely have a mark from a 5 round war. And what's more impressive? To naturally have sledgehammer hands that brutalise people's faces with just a few hits or to train your skills to the point where you can utterly outclass someone no matter what they do but barely cut or bruise them?
@@erick7704 Andrade would have killed her, Rose did no significant damage to Andrade, if it was a 5 rounder there's a doctor stoppage, cope in every comment.
Totally agree with you and I love rose but it’s obvious for all to see……if these two met on a street rose be asleep in seconds….she too strong and powerful for rose.
@@leprechaun7667 do you realize how stupid is your comment is? Please slap yourself and stop commenting no sense. Rose is technical asf she dominated Andrade almost every second of both fights .all that Andrade got's power and pressure, how ever rose has improved a lot since that fight. If they'd fought 100 times rose would win 99.
I think it was because see was slammed on the neck she was thinking of retiring. Yeah you'd have the fame a wealth from the ufc but it wouldn't be worth it if your paralyzed for the rest of your life.
