Passed a guy on this bike this very evening. With the last sunrays of the evening blending all the shades of blue and purple on the frame, I couldn't hold myself from slowing down to admire such beauty

Brilliant cable routing solution. I have a Canyon Endurace which I love but the cables around the cockpit are an eyesore. Well played, Rose.

I do keep going back to the Rose bikes. I guess I'm attracted to the value for money. This reveal in blue looks awesome!!! Black fork works for me. Great vlog as always.

Impressive bike for such a small company. I wonder if their xlite will get the same cable integration, maybe with a nice aero stem. A serious competitor for cube and canyon.

Bought a Rose Psycho Path last year (MTB) in the Rose store in Bocholt. Amazing bike for the money, superb service. Was waiting for a review of this Reveal, I’m afraid another trip to Germany is needed soon.

An excellent bike for sure. I currently ride a Rose Bike I bought from them in 2014 I paid much less for mine (£1200). It has a full 105 groupset and can also accommodate mudguards front and rear. So I think we ought to agree terms such 'affordable' and 'good value'. To a person of my means, this is a very expensive bike.

I have bikes, Pinarello and Canyon,with both style bottom brackets and they are both excellent with no issues.

I bought a Reveal Four Ultegra Di2 recently. My most comfortable bike to date. I wanted an endurance bike but no disc brakes. Struggled a bit to assemble the bike because of the Di2 battery connection in the seat post. My friendly mechanic around the corner sorted it out. I fail to understand why an ordinary amateur coureur needs disc brakes unless he has to daily descend the Mont Ventoux in the pouring rain

Cables might be exposed under the stem but very neatly so. I like it very much.

Press fit is superior to threaded. Creaking is result of incorrect tolerances. If a manufacturer goes back to BSA, it is like saying we produce low quality and we don't want to improve our production methods.

I get what you're saying about the look of Rose bikes. I have a 2018 rose Pro sl is a bloody fantastic bike but the rose website and logo is splashed all over it in different fonts and colours it's a real eye sore to an otherwise incredible looking and preforming bike. The newer models and much more modern and minimalist and look much better. Still I chose like you said with my head not my heart 😁

The lack of a big bad bosch cx high speed motor is a deal breaker for me 😅

Love the bike, although, looking at the video in 2024, the price is now a whopping 3300€. In 3 years, the thing got pretty much 50% more expensive... yeah (I know pounds aren't euros. But still)

Using a PF86 is most definitely NOT a disadvantage nor a "deal breaker" for me. On the other hand using marketing BS instead of proper engineering is deal breaker #1.

105 is such a solid groupset

Certainly an attractive option to consider especially with the integrated cable management at the stem but interesting that you noted the different in front compliance as compared to rear compliance as I have seen that comment in other reviews of the Reveal as well. Would you agree that if the rider was heavier than you are David that the rear flex would be more pronounced creating more of an imbalance between front and rear (just asking for a friend)? I am thinking that the dropped seat stays and lower clamp design is a better fit with the future shock front of the Roubaix or that the Reveal's front would be better matched with a higher clamp like the Defy or the higher stays with leaf spring post of the Endurace ?

No mudguard mounts is a deal breaker for an endurance bike which is an all year round bike. Press fit is better if the manufacturer can deliver the quality. The trend back to threaded is a cop out for brands who don't have control over their quality.

David great review thanks, I tired the Cannondale Carbon 5 in a 61" frame it suits my long arms and legs, very comfortable responsive ride, can you compare that with the Reveal in terms of handling? Or can the extra cost of the Cannondale be easily justified ?

I'm looking for an alternative to the Domane SL5, but no bike seems to come close.... Domane has threaded bottom bracket, mudguard mounts, compliance front and back and more tire clearance! And neat cabling..... I can't find an alternative as good.

10:15 You cannot customize the bike that is being reviewed(Reveal Four)... That’s only on the most expensive option: “Reveal Six” - that’s before you start struggling to find that configurator...

Great value bike, I'd still go for the Ultegra group.

What about water ingress at that seattube cover? Will that cover keep watertight over time I wonder? And what happens if it breaks or fall of after a few years...will it be available? Otherwise a smart feature.

What do you think confortwise compare to the Giant defy?I imagine the Tcr is way more stiffer?

Where was the free hub sound David? 😥 I think you said it was the 55cm, what are your measurements if you don't mind? I've really been considering this bike, I have got a Canyon on order but this might have thrown a spanner in the works!!

The advertised weight is 7.9kg, when you weighed the bike at 8.3kg was that with pedals. Great video.

Great video! How does this frameset compare to the Krypton pro you reviewed earlier? Both high end endurance bikes, but which would you say is faster?

Nothing much affordable about this bike, don't be mistaken it is impeccably specced. But after shipping and taxes to my cabin on the hills, the rim brake, 105 version ends up costing close to 2700 Euros.

If this had at least 35 mm tyre clearence it would be near-perfect.

How would you rate this David v riding your revolt with road tyres . Similar performance?

@6:43 You stated the front end is not as smooth, not as balanced as other endurance bikes. What could the rider change to correct that?

What do you do, if you want to put stem 10 or 20 mil longer, but the routing is not allowing to do so due to cables being too short?..

Why is this bike almost £2300? It’s 8.3kg. My aluminium Trek from 2006 is 7.9kg ready to ride and it shifts flawlessly. I guess it depends on what’s valued by the customer.

Had wide tyres now gone back.to. 23c on.The front and 25c on.The back as both.blow out to 24.2 and 26.4 on.my 25mm wide rims. The extra weight of 28c to 32c is too.much I think. If you ride very rough roads better on gravel bike.

You can just get a Specialized Tarmac SL6 Sport for $2600 USD, unless you don’t want to buy a mainstream brand bike.

Small detail, they stopped shipping to the UK so this bike is not available to us. The reason is plain ridiculous but well.. Shame as its a great bike...

Why does that Rose bike use such a long derailleur hanger? It's quite far of the smallest cog and therefore compromising the shifting precision slightly.

Seriously, how hard is it to offer some mudguard mounting options? Just freaking drill 2 holes into the frame. Why wouldn't you include them in your endurance bike?
