Jackie: Dad is not with us anymore, Dad has passed away, Dad is gone, Dad's dead, he's dead, no dead. DEAD! He's fine, he sends his love. LOL! Laurie Metcalf is the best in this scene!
Something like this actually happened in Norm MacDonald's life, so he wrote the story. He didn't get credit for it though , because some woman on the writing team won an award for it. Don't know how that happened but he mentioned it just once in an interview. He was not one to complain, was he.
I grew up with this show. I always loved that they made Darlene a tomboy, then a sarcastic goth instead of some vacuous pretty girl like most sitcom teenage girls. The anti Marcia Brady!
Yep! Roseanne said her daughter (in real life) went through this phase and even asked for a coffin in her room. Roseanne said no, but she put this part of her life into the show for Darlene to play and she left out the coffin request for the show lol
Yeah I honestly thought that scene deserved to be in the top 5. Roseanne was like get to the point Edna😂😂😂😂😂Becky Connor the only person with a solar plane 😂😂😂😂Then after she said that, Dan was like Darlene this could very easily happen to you 😂😂😂😂😍😍
Then the scene between Dan and Roseanne was pure gold. Dan starts laughing, and Roseanne does too😂😂😂😂😂😂She’s like shut up Dan 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂She’s like Dan maybe you ought to go up there to talk to Becky because this is your area of expertise. Dan tried and he’s like I couldn’t make it 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love this show so much all the actors played there characters so amazing and everyone had so much amazing chemistry on set especially Roseanne and John.
I can imagine the conversation b/t Jackie and Auntie Barbara. Jackie:"Auntie Barbara, it's Jackie." Auntie:"Who wha?" Jackie: "Jack-key!" Auntie:"Oh right how are you?" Jackie:"I'm fine." Auntie:"What?" Jackie: "Fine!" Auntie: "You got fined?!" Jackie: "I'm Fine!" Auntie: "Oh wonderful! How are things?" Jackie: "I have some bad news...Dad is not with us anymore..." Auntie: "Speak up girl I can't understand you." Jackie: "I said dad has passed away!" Auntie: "Say again?" Jackie: "He's passed away!" Auntie: "Again please?" Jackie: "Dad is gone!" Auntie: "Gone where?" Jackie: "Dad's dead!" Auntie: "Who's Red?" Jackie: "He's dead!" Auntie: "He's in bed?" Jackie: "No dead!" Auntie: "Who's dead?!" Jackie: "DAAAD!!" Auntie: "Oh yes how is your father?" Jackie: "He's fine! He sends his love!" Auntie: "Okay bye now dear." Jackie: "Bye!"
Dan: "Come on, Darlene. I don't have time for this." Darlene: "Oh, I think you do." That scene where Darlene bailed Dan out of jail is true comedy gold. Those two were hilarious, especially together. Kudos to the writers for coming up with such great material.
number 3 should have been when they were talking about why DJ had the bathroom door locked " either he's really, really good at it, or really, really bad at it" 😂😂😂😂
@Roberta Aguilar .... *OR* when Roseanne told Darlene not to give DJ any grief (about him masterbating) because "you might turn him into a serial killer or somethin'." and Darlene said "Relax...how much damage can he do with only one free hand?" (and of course Dans' *"OH MY GOD*" lmao)
Jackie paranoid thinking about how bad her life sucked,we all been there, that's what made it so funny we related to her,,look at me I got nothing ,No job No meaning ful relationship ,I got nothing it's just me ,it's just me and my gaunga.WHEN I FIRST SEENED THIS EPISODE I WAS CRYING FROM LAUGHTER AND IT WAS DURING A TOUGH TIME IN MY LIFE ,THIS SHOW SAVED MY LIFE.THANK YOU TO ALL THE CAST CREW ON THIS SHOW WAS GENIUS 🥰♥️❤️❤️❤️
@@rosered3608 i watched it so many times and it never gets old and you can see Roseanne trying not to laugh too. Lol. Def top five funniest Roseanne scenes. Jackie is hella funny. 🤣
@@beccasmith1276 haha omg. That was like the best part. Even Roseanne was trying not to laugh. Lmao. To me that is the best scene on Roseanne. So funny 😂
I loved all of this show, it was always hysterically funny, but my favorite episode was the one in which Jackie played in "Cyrano", especially the last scene over the credits. That was epic! The entire cast is awesome, but Laurie Metcalf is in a class by herself!
the one with darlene and the friend making out it was even funnier what Dan did later in that scene. Some of my favorites: Roseanne talks to Darlene and Becky about the birds and bees. The coming out of Nancy. Dan on a diet sneaking into the fridge. Jackie jumps Dan to prove she can take him down as a cop, all of the Halloween episodes,
Tocimah, it was because Roseanne thought it was Becky making out and it was Darlene. Roseanne completely forgot about Darlene when it comes to the birth control talk. The birds and bees was funny too.
I grew up watching this awesome show, and I still watch re-runs when ever I can catch em. So much like my own family. I can't wait to see what the re-boot is gonna bring.
My two favorite are the tax episode with the "dum dum dummmm" scene in the kitchen and the episode when Becky and her friend get drunk and then Dan puts a lock on the cabinet
I remember how hard my mom and I laughed at the tax episode when it originally aired and how my friends and I were still cracking up the next day at school when Becky & her friend got drunk. The bit where the friend asks Darlene where their bathroom is and Becky says "we don't have a bathroom, we use a wok." was great! Such a fun show!
Yea but John and Laurie metcalf were professional actors when this show started and they imbedded so much of their acting talent on this show.... they will always be my top favorite
A few things that is funny.Roseanne had thought Becky was in the living room with the boy, turned out,it was Darlene. Jackie had told everyone she'd slept with Arnie and I'd saw how Crystal had reacted like he's a disgusting man. Becky cut the cheese. I guess that's it.
Craftmatic adjustable BEV!!!! That gets me every damn time. That episode is one of my favorites. BEV was the epitome of an annoying, overbearing mother.
I always liked: - Becky asking Roseanne for birth control, with Jackie's help. - Dan getting his coat and leaving (to do you-know-what) after he finds out that Jackie's boyfriend beat her up. - Dan and Roseanne trying to "one-up" each other with Halloween scares, and Roseanne winning with a fake call to her mom. - Dan and Roseanne trying to come up with punishments for Becky lying and sneaking around with Mark.
I like Darlene's voice then. It doesn't have the same effect now in The Connors. The whole cast got older and it doesn't it doesn't have the same magic anymore.
I like the one where the old man was telling Roseanne and Jackie that he and their mom were having sex and she'd got injured. Jackie reacted saying Holy Hanna! The one I hate where Gary left Jackie because she refuse to quit her job as a cop.
Only Jackie would say that😂😂😂Roseanne: Becky is making out with somebody in here. Only to find out it was Darlene. Roseanne: Darlene?!!! Darlene: Hi mommy 😂😂😂😂
“Aunt Jackie” was always my favorite character after Roseanne herself because she always had such funny lines. Roseanne and Dan Connor were my favorite tv couple. My favorite episode wasn’t technically on this list because this is a funny moments from Roseanne and mine is more serious. It’s the scenes before Darlene goes to bail Dan outta jail. Darlene sees Aunt Jackie’s bruises/injuries from Fischer beat her up, she then goes straight to Roseanne and asks/tells her about it. Aunt Jackie then reluctantly admits to it and as they’re hugging Dan comes into the room and asked if Jackie was okay and Roseanne says “Fischer beat the crap outta her” he asks again if she is okay and Roseanne says yeah that she’ll take her to the ER. Dan then walks into the laundry room and grabs his jacket off the hook and leaves. I think we all knew what was about to happen, I was young when I saw this episode but I knew Fischer was going to get his a** kicked! It’s my favorite because as much as him and Jackie don’t always get along, she’s family and he knew he had to defend her!
